Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there,they serve some sort of purpose,teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are and who you want to become. You never know who these people may be your neighbor, child, long lost friend, lover, or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them,you know at that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.And sometimes things happen to you and at the time they seem painful and unfair but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential strength, will power, or heart. There once was a King who offered a prize to the artist who would paint the best picture of peace. Many artists tried. The King looked at all the pictures, but there were only two he really liked and he had to choose between them. One picture was of a calm lake. A Very Faithful Woman An elderly lady was well-known for her faith and for her boldness in talking about it. She would stand on her front porch and shout " PRAISE THE LORD !" They lie on the table, side by side The Holy Bible and the TV Guide. One is well worn, but cherished with pride (Not the Bible, but the TV Guide) One is used daily to help folks decide. (Not the Bible: it's the TV Guide.) As the pages are turned, what shall they see Oh, what does it matter?...turn on the TV. Then confusion reigns, they can't all agree on what they shall watch on the old TV. So they open the book in which they confide (No, not the Bible.....it's the TV Guide.) The Word of God is seldom read. Maybe a verse e'er they fall into bed. Exhausted and sleepy and tired as can be... not from reading the Bible-from watching TV. So then back to the table, side by side, lay the Holy Bible and the TV Guide. No time for prayer....no time for the Word. The plan of salvation is seldom heard. But forgiveness of sin so full and free is found in the Bible.....NOT on TV

I've never made a fortune and it's probably too late now. But I don't worry about that much, I'm happy anyhow. And as I go along life's way, I'm reaping better than I sowed.
