REAPING WHAT YOU SOW

I gave this title after reading this story because it's funny how we in life want to be treated better than we treat others, want more attention than we can give to others, want people to run after us as if we are God's blessings to mankind whereas we are just mere mortals who can't see beyond or noses... lets face it we will all reap what we sow someday, whether it be good or bad, like the popular proverb in my country says... only the bad person or a person with the guilty conscience will not say "AMEN" when this prayer is said... "may it be unto us as we have done to others". In other words, what the proverb means, is that we are aware of our treatment of others whether they be our friends or family even acquaintances... funny enough they too are aware of the treatment we give to them and will oblige someday wether in a good way or in a not so good way. Like the lesson in this story teaches ... "A son and his father were walking on the mountain

JOKES

Faithful With Much At a Wednesday evening church meeting a very wealthy man rose to give his testimony. "I'm a millionaire," he said, "and I attribute it all to the rich blessings of God in my life. I can still remember the turning point in my faith, like it was yesterday: I had just earned my first dollar and I went to a church meeting that night. The speaker was a missionary who told about his work. I knew that I only had a dollar bill and had to either give it all to God's work or nothing at all. So at that moment I decided to give my whole dollar to God. I believe that God blessed that decision, and that is why I am a rich man today." As he finished it was clear that everyone had been moved by this man's story. But, as he took his seat, a little old lady sitting in the same pew leaned over and said: " Wonderful story ! I dare you to do it again !"   Money Goes To Church A Dollar bill and a similarly distressed twenty dollar bill arri

A Wonderful Story

I was really touched when I saw this story and decided to share it here with you, I believe in this story too... no need to say much cos the story speaks for itself. Enjoy and learn Things Aren't Always As They Seem Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, "Things aren't always what they seem." The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their

DELIVERANCE

Inspired by the Holy Ghost,  written by channelofhealing Authors It is always a pleasure to share the precious word of God with the wonderful people of God.  Beloved I would like to know, how you are faring in the wonderful vineyard of our savior JESUS CHRIST? Today we are going to the powerful WORD OF GOD and we are going to discuss on the topic above titled “DELIVERANCE”. Before going into this topic there are points to note... for one may ask: What is deliverance? Who needs deliverance? What needs to be delivered? When is deliverance needed? Where can deliverance be obtained? Who is the deliverer? These questions might be strange to some, and yet very popular amongst Christians and non-Christians alike, "especially Africans", I say so because at one point or the other in ones life, DELIVERANCE is needed. Whether we accept it or not, the fact still remains that we need deliverance in all aspects of life, because of the incessant troubles and hardships faced by ma

A Story Shared in Yahoo Answers

I am usually happy when I read such things online especially in unusual forums like my fave Yahoo Answers. I am always touched, when I see most Christians talk about Jesus Christ, even the very confused and the ignorant ones who debate what their beliefs are and who should be listening to who and so on. This particular story was shared by one of my contacts (Rebossry) and she has a very powerful testimony of what God did in her life and is doing in her life... she shared with me on Y/A her testimony, Visit the Testimony section in this blog.  She urged us all to share this story with our friends through email but I decided to share mine here today Cos every on who visits this blog is my friend, LOL. Please do read it, even though you have seen or read it before, because I know that so many of us are already conversant with most web posts, but bear in mind that there are also some that are seeing these things for the first time in their lives. it could refresh your memory or even make

ARE YOU FEELING USELESS AND NOT WORTHY ENOUGH?

Like the title question... are you? well if you are, I believe this will cheer you up a great deal. when I stumbled on the this parable online I was really touched, it made me feel great and I know it will make you feel great too, especially if you are coming from a place is that difficult , you have had life tough, you have been told you are not good enough, made to feel inadequate for the good things of life. I am talking about those who don't know where life is leading them yet they are still holding on. But if you are about to give up please read this story and lets see what God will do in your life in Jesus Mighty Name Amen. PARABLE OF THE CRACKED POT Author unknown A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot a

TEN APPLES

Author Unknown Once upon a time . . .  there was a man who had nothing . . . and God gave him ten apples.  He gave him three apples to eat.  He gave him three apples to trade for shelter from the sun and rain.  He gave him three apples to trade for clothing to wear.  He gave him one apple so that he might have something to give back to God to show his gratitude for the other nine. The man ate the three apples.  He traded three for shelter from sun and rain.  He traded three for clothing to wear.  The man looked at the tenth apple . . . and it seemed bigger and juicier than the rest.  So the man ate the tenth apple . . . and gave back to God . . . THE CORE! Might I add this, it's funny how unfaithful we are in giving back to God what He gives, be it our tithes/offerings/vows... (even our time too ) yet He is still merciful to us all. some times I wonder why we never ever get satisfied with getting/acquiring wealth and properties, yet we find it difficult to give back to God t

MY THOUGHTS

I haven't really blogged in a while for various reasons, I ve realized that whatever happens in one's life God comes first and, the ability to trust in God and live daily, is all about being faithful in your Christian life. When you are trusting God and it seems like you are drowning still... keep trusting. This I tell myself daily and every other person who is looking to God for one thing or the other...just have faith. Always led by the Holy Spirit to keep trusting and praying about how am feeling... am in need of A MIRCACLE...  and always in a constant battle with my daily Christian struggles, going through these made me feel great again. PRAYING HANDS

Image
Back in the fifteenth century, in a tiny village near Nuremberg, lived a family with eighteen children. Eighteen! In order merely to keep food on the table for this mob, the father and head of the household, a goldsmith by profession, worked almost eighteen hours a day at his trade and any other paying chore he could find in the neighborhood. Despite their seemingly hopeless condition, two of Albrecht Durer the Elder's children had a dream. They both wanted to pursue their talent for art, but they knew full well that their father would never be financially able to send either of them to Nuremberg to study at the Academy.         After many long discussions at night in their crowded bed, the two boys finally worked out a pact. They would toss a coin. The loser would go down into the nearby mines and, with his earnings, support his brother while he attended the academy. Then, when that brother who won the toss completed his studies, in four years, he would support the other brother

POOL OF BETHESDA AND POOL OF SILOAM

POOL OF BETHESDA Jesus healed the man that had ben sick for 38yrs at the pool of Bethesda John 5:2-9 2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. 5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. 9 And immediately the man was made whole, a

PICS OF ANGEL AT THE TOMB OF JESUS

Image
MATT.28 1-9 1 Early on Sunday morning,* as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to see the tomb. 2 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled aside the stone and sat on it. 3 His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. 4 The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint. 5 Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He isn’t here! He has been raised from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. 7 And now, go quickly and tell his disciples he has been raised from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember, I have told you.” 8 The women ran quickly from the tomb. They were very frightened but also filled with great joy, and they rushed to find the disciples to give them the angel’s message. 9 And as

It's in the Bible There was a religious lady that had to do a lot of traveling for her business, so she did a lot of flying. Flying made her very, very nervous, so she always took her Bible along with her to read as it helped relax her on the long flights. One time, she was sitting next to a man. When he saw her pull out her Bible, he gave a little chuckle and smirk and went back to what he was doing. After awhile, he turned to her and asked, " You don't really believe all that stuff in there do you ?" The lady replied, " Of course I do . It is the Bible ." Half Gone?

Inspired by the Holy Ghost,  written by channelofhealing Authors So soon? I can't believe we are in the second half of 2007, Yeah I know that June just passed and we are in the New month of July. You may even say so what about it ? Many who started this great year with us are no longer here.  Many are in the Hospitals, mental institutes, streets and I mean some of this people were okay at the beginning of the year but today they are in pain and sorrow. In this past half so much has happened in the world today that one is too scared to trust, love, let alone care for one another. Its inane to see that in this seemingly craziness of the world where all real things and issues that matter are taken for granted and only the "hype" is what people are after, it's just like the whole Earth should be under some. when are we going to stop this ... me me and me Colossians 4:5 Live wisely among those who are not Christians, and make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your c

Clear out the Debris...Let the River Flow

by Joyce Meyer Deep inside each of us, there is a river—a river of life. This river is a wonderful gift given to each of us by God. It refreshes, renews and revitalizes our lives. I'm sure all of us have known people from time to time who defied all logic and stayed alive years longer than they should have. Or you may have known people who've been able to keep a positive outlook on life even though terrible things happened to them. Their river ran strong and didn’t stop flowing. On the other hand, there are those who always seem to be down, whether physically or emotionally. No matter what they do, they can't seem to “snap out of it.” Their river has been stopped-up, and only a little trickle seems to pass through. God places this river in every one of us. It flows with good health, a positive outlook on life, and a generous and forgiving attitude. Ideally, this river flows freely through us. When we allow this flow and keep our well from getting plugged-up, there's a

Mighty wind blows when you honor the Blood

by Pastor Benny Hinn Is it really possible that the Holy Spirit can totally change us? Absolutely. If the Lord could turn mud into man as He breathed the breath of life into man, imagine what He can do by breathing on us again! That is what happened at Pentecost. "And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting." (Acts 2:2) Those who gathered in the upper room on the Day of Pentecost felt the breath of almighty God. And as it blew gently upon them, they were transformed. When the Holy Spirit empowers your life, you can expect three things to happen: · The Lord will become very close to you. · Because of that relationship, your ultimate desire will be to walk in the ways of God. · You will be miraculously transformed into a new person. I am convinced that the Holy Spirit, alive and present on the earth today, is the sign of the covenant God has made with us through the blood of His Son Jesus. &qu

Start the Month with This Thought

What I love about Bill By Julie Fewerda When we moved into our new neighborhood, I immediately noticed the yard at the beginning of the street. The house was fine but that yard! It looked just like a giant junkyard...or a little city dump all its own. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to drop off my trash there every week or to offer a bulldozer. To be honest, I was embarrassed to have anyone I knew drive by that house on their way to my house. So...I told them to go the "back way." I didn't want them to think that I lived in a house on a street next to a junkyard. As the months went by, and I hurried by the house on my daily prayer walks, I noticed that something was happening with "the yard." I wasn't sure what yet, but the guy who lived at the demolition site was outside working on his junk piles. Bout time he cleans it up! I thought to myself. Even though I wanted to avoid him, I decided the "Christian" thing to do would be to say someth
