THE DAY OF OUR LORD 07/07/07
Fellows, I have been waiting anxiously for today since it only occurs once every MILLENIUM, it's a date that has stayed close to my mind for so long now and finally it's here... Can't wait to be in service in the morning (hope you will find time to attend one near you)God bless your soul... speaking of the date 07/07/07 something happened to me this night, when I finished my night devotion and was so tired that all I wanted to do was sleep but, I couldn't so I went to the Bathroom. As I was there I asked the Lord to give me 8hrs sleep in 5 (learnt that prayer from Joyce Meyer) so I say it anytime I need to wake early to go do something...anyway's, I was about going back to bed when this thought was just laid on my mind... what is so special about the number 7? Why is it so special I asked myself; and it got me thinking... at the time I had my own reasons why I felt it was so special like...On the 7th day God rested after creation . Genesis 2:2-4 On the seventh day, having finished his task, God rested from all his work. 3 And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from his work of creation.
4 This is the account of the creation of the heavens and the earth. maybe a few other reasons why 7 is a special number with God, such as the "Walls of Jericho" fell down after 7 days and lastly keeping the Sabbath Holy on the 7 day of the week. these were/are my reasons why I believed number 7 was special all these years, but in the course of thinking and meditating on the word of God I was led by the Holy Spirit to do a little research on the Number 7 and guess what... this clears it all for all to see.
I found out that the number 7 is really a special number, as it was on that day God Almighty rested and, most of the Commandments and statues that the Lord asked His people to keep either had one thing or the other to do with the number 7,70 (SEVEN,SEVENTY), the number was used in so many places, Even when the Children of God where in captivity they still held on to the commandments/statutes of God Almighty... with respects to the number 7 etc. From generation to generation, from one Bible book/chapter to the other in fact from Genesis to Revelations. If you doubt it read your Bible and if you don't have one ask for and it will be given to you freely by Christian ministries. (I believe they still do give out Bibles for free)
It's is worthy of note, that you read up the following Bible passages so you could grasp the importance of the number 7(SEVEN). Here are a few of them, I could gather for the sake of this write up and I do hope you take time off to read them too;
Genesis 4:15-24, 7:2-3, 8:10, 29:18-30, 33:3,41, Exodus 12:15-19, 21:2-4, 29:30-37 Leviticus:14, Deuteronomy 28:7, Josh:6:4-16,Judges 14:12-18, 1Kings 18:43-44, 2King 4:35, 5:10-14, 8:1-2, Esther 2:16, Ezekiel 43:26, Daniel 3:19, 4:16-32 Amos 5:8, Zechariah 4:10 Matthew 18:22, Mark 8:5-20, Revelation 1:4-20, 3:1, 5:1-6
