Quotes For the Week

I am mended by my sickness, enriched by my poverty, and strengthened by my weakness.... Thus was it with.... Manasseh, when he was in affliction, "He besought the Lord his God": even that king's iron was more precious to him than his gold, his jail a more happy lodging than his palace, Babylon a better school than Jerusalem. What fools are we, then, to frown upon our afflictions! These, how crabbed soever, are our best friends. They are not indeed for our pleasure, they are for our profit. —Abraham Wright Do not even such things as are most bitter to the flesh, tend to awaken Christians to faith and prayer, to a sight of the emptiness of this world, and the fadingness of the best it yield? Doth not God by these things (ofttimes) call our sins to remembrance, and provoke us to amendment of life? How then can we be offended at things by which we reap so much good?.... Therefore if mine enemy hunger, let me feed him; if he thirst, let me give him drink. Now in order to ...

The Miracle Of Prayer

Image
by David J. Stewart I t is disturbing to find so many people that fail to believe God answers prayer. Several top “authors” and so-called “professionals” being interviewed on TV lately, have claimed that prayer is a great therapy (as an end in itself). You never hear them mention God. It is sad that prayer has been diminished to the status of going to the park to watch the birds. Prayer is not effective because it is a good therapy. Prayer is effective because there is an omnipotent (all powerful) God up in heaven that hears and answers prayer !  I am leery of bumper sticker theology.  I see bumper stickers promoting about the "Power of Prayer," but prayer is nothing without a Powerful Divine God.  I believe in the "Power of God." Answered prayer can only happen by a miracle of God. A “Miracle” is defined in the Random House College Dictionary as “an event in the physical world that surpasses all known h...

Rapture Ready!?

A Short film on the Rapture, don't believe it? please do, I beg you in Jesus Name!!! "For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:15–17) "For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself." (Philippians 3:20-21)

Little Girl Slain By Father

This is so sad , yet it is also a message to us Christians that while some of us are busy with getting wealth and stuff , Others are dying daily  through the serious "persecution business" working/thriving in certain regions of the Earth today. This is a sad  News report  coming out of Saudi Arabia . . . John August 14th, 2008 Christian , Muslim , Persecution , Saudi Arabia Israel Today reports that a young girl in Saudi Arabia was brutally executed by her Muslim father this week after he learned his daughter had converted to Christianity. Middle East business news website Zawya.com reported that the man, who is a prominent member of a “virtue committee,” first cut out his daughter’s tongue and held a one-sided religious debate with her. He then burned his daughter alive. Observant Muslims hold that their Prophet Mohammed taught that Muslims who convert to any other religion must be killed, often in extremely brutal fashion. THINK ON THIS Matthew 10:28-42 28...

'Loaves and Fishes' Miracle Reported in Egypt

By Paul Steven Ghiringhelli Bible teacher and evangelist Marilyn Hickey's recent 10-day trip to Cairo, Egypt—described by organizers afterward as the largest gathering of Christians to ever assemble in the ancient city— included a report of something more astounding than the several hundred who claimed healing and salvation: 2,400 meals from Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) apparently appeared out of thin air. The reported incident, which if true is a miracle nearly unheard of in modern times, occurred during Hickey's citywide leaders conference in May, attended by nearly 10,000 pastors and local leaders—from curious Muslims to orthodox Coptic Christians. According to Hickey, 77, whose ministry organized the meetings in conjunction with the Egyptian Evangelical Association, 3,500 boxed-lunches from KFC were ordered and accounted for. "There were tickets distributed for the lunches," she said. "The boxes were given out, leaving none in the room." After the f...

Man Miraculously Survives Accident . . .

South African Man Miraculously Survives Accident after Cancelling his Life Insurance So he could Tithe to Church By Aimee Herd: July 17, 2008 : Staff Reporter and Sapa – The Times "When the truck started pushing my car towards this lane (the fast lane) and it started crumpling, I just had this urge to say 'Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!'" When you see a photo of the car vs. runaway truck accident—that happened on Tuesday of this week, near the Buccleuch interchange in Johannesburg, South Africa—you might imagine there was no way anyone inside the crushed older model VW Jetta could have survived. (Photo: The Times) However, 49-year-old Absolom Morifi did survive, without any injuries, and he's calling it a miracle. Really though, the part of this Divine intervention story that makes it so amazing is what happened a few days before. While attending the Rhema Church over the weekend, Absolom felt a nudge by the Holy Spirit to step out in faith. "I went to church on...

God's Holy Name

I was lying down the other day after much stress about something bothering me for some time now, and right in the middle of my deep thought, the Spirit of G0d says to me go to Psalm 9 :10 and I stretched forth my hands to  where my Bible was and  I opened it, though I have read this psalm often amongst others, the Lord God wanted to teach me a new thing that day about something I have not been  thinking about.  So The  Lord gave me this passage Psalms 9:10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. I said Amen I was like ok, yes Lord! I know it is so true and I have practically quoted that scripture amongst others, but the Holy Spirit made me see the deeper  meaning in what I had just read, the Holy Spirit gave me  clear insight to what the Lord was saying to me in that passage and I turned the words to myself  as follows. . .  if I know the name of my God  I will put my trust in ...

Man Who was Written Off by Doctors at Birth Now Shares How His Second Birth in Christ Revolutionized His Life by Teresa Neumann : June 10, 2008 : Gracie Bonds Staples - The Atlanta Journal-Constitution "Christopher Coleman—becoming the first in his family to graduate from college—likens his life in a wheelchair to the blind man in Chapter 9 of the book of John" in that he was "born with such challenges, so that the works of God be demonstrated in him." (Atlanta, Georgia)—A report in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution chronicles the life of Christopher Coleman, from doctors "writing him off" after his premature birth to his second birth in Christ years later. According to the article, shortly after Coleman's birth doctors said he would never walk, talk, or even think for himself. His father abandoned his mother the day he was born and throughout his subsequent years in school people treated him as a non-entity as he sat in the back ...

Jesus is Lord!

Pilots run out of fuel, pray, land near Jesus sign May 21, 2008 WELLINGTON, New Zealand—It seemed like an almost literal answer to their prayers. When two New Zealand pilots ran out of fuel in a microlight airplane they offered prayers and were able to make an emergency landing in a field -- coming to rest right next to a sign reading, "Jesus is Lord." more stories like this Grant Stubbs and Owen Wilson, both from the town of Blenheim on the country's South Island, were flying up the sloping valley of Pelorus Sound when the engine spluttered, coughed and died. "My friend and I are both Christians so our immediate reaction in a life-threatening situation was to ask for God's help," Stubbs told The Associated Press on Wednesday. He said he prayed during the ill-fated flight Sunday that the tiny craft would get over the top of a ridge and that they would find a landing site that was not too steep -- or in the nearby sea. Wilson said that the pair would ...

My Testimony III

My Walk With Christ Following Christ has been a reality for me, my goal is to make heaven and to make sure that others around me do so too through the Grace of Christ Jesus my Lord.  this passage I live by, without it I don't know what would have become of my faith in Christ today. Isaiah 49: 8-11,8  Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; 9  That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. 10  They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. 11 And I will make all my mountains a way, and my h...

My Testimony II

Being thrown out of the House Praying to God for a Miracle was our daily job,  we were crying, pleading to God in fasting and prayers for God to intervene in our affairs so that our father would love us and let us live happily together... little did we know that Gods way out for us would be something we had dreaded for years, that made us endure those horrendous years of suffering (if only we knew we would have giving God thanks instead of crying all along not knowing God was working his purpose out.) My experience as a child could be summed up as hellish, Proverbs 14:13, 13 Laughter can conceal a heavy heart; when the laughter ends, the grief remains . coupled with the fact that I had to deal with the different women coming in and out of the house, being asked repeatedly if they were a suitable replacement for my mother or if they were suitable to be my mother was another horrendous experience, I begged God to deliver me from. My father was used to  having his way all the...

My Testimony I

By the Special Grace of God, I  hereby submit a short version of my testimony, agree or not it is true, cannot write every thing Down but I must say that Life has taught me things only God knows. . . am not in the habit of talking much about myself and so if there any thing you might want to know about me, Read and feel free to ask me any questions you wish. Godbless.  I would also like you to Read this post A  Brief  History About This Blog before you continue ... that is if you haven't already. Thanks. Ecclesiastes 1:9-11, 9 History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. 10 What can you point to that is new? How do you know it didn’t already exist long ago? 11 We don’t remember what happened in those former times. And in future generations, no one will remember what we are doing now. Revelations 12:11, 11 And they have defeated him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of their testimony. Introduction My...

EAGLES IN A STORM

Image
Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them. Godbless Channelofhealing

God is Able!!!

Image
It has really been a very tough 3 months for me but the Lord was with me, so I cannot complain. Am Grateful to God for everything He did and is doing in my life... oftentimes We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we can't. Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, there will always be sunshine, after the rain.... Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall; But God's always ready, to answer your call.... He knows every heartache, sees every tear, a word from His lips, can calm every fear... Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night, But suddenly vanish, dawn's early light... The Savior is waiting, somewhere above, to give you His grace, and send you His love... God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage. Godbless Channelofhealing

Victory Nuggets

The account of David and Goliath has permeated our culture as clothing companies, the media, and even unbelievers use its imagery. Are we handling our giants as God would have us? Face your giants through the eyes of God. Goliath is a picture of the things in life that intimidate us. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, our circumstances become less intimidating. If you're a Christian, you must see as God sees. Challenges to God's people are like challenges to God's power and authority. If you're filled with the Holy Spirit, you'll have courage. Do you realize that God wants to give us courage to deal with the Goliaths in our life? Don't take out things on your family members. If we're going to effectively deal with the giants in our life, we need to cultivate our relationship with God. A relationship with God will give us confidence in God's presence. Too often, Christians get consumed with current battles and forget past victories. The world...

Psalm 9 1     I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. 2     I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High. 3     My enemies turn away in retreat; they are overthrown and destroyed before you. 4     For you have judged in my favor; from your throne, you have judged with fairness. 5     You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have wiped out their names forever. 6     My enemies have met their doom; their cities are perpetual ruins. Even the memory of their uprooted cities is lost. 7     But the Lord reigns forever, executing judgment from his throne. 8     He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. 9     The Lord is a shelter for the oppresse...
