Deceiving the Very Elect?!
“I’m now convinced that a large segment of the charismatic church will follow the anti-Christ when he shows up because they have no discernment.”
This is a very sad statement/quote I stumbled on a blog today, where the recent events in the Christendom was being discussed. With what is going on now, no one is sure who will be deceived and who will not.
Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
If you are worried/afraid all you can do is Read your Bible, WATCH and PRAY.
Keep your eyes on Christ alone the "author and finisher" of your faith
Do not forsake Christ no matter how disappointed you are about the state of the Church.
Our God will Revive the body of Christ even as we call on his Holy Name today for HEALING in the Church.
God bless
My husband has a favorite saying that he uses all the time. He says, "the way things are going today in this world with all the evil, violence and deception we as believers can only STOP, DROP and PRAY." God bless you my friend.
ReplyDeleteHello channel of healing.. I would like for you to go to my blog and recieve your blessing it is my way of saying thankyou for what your blog means to me. God bless you! Tamela
ReplyDeleteAmen...Amen...and Amen! We all are desperate for more quality time w/God. We must know His Word inside and out so we absolutely CANNOT be led astray. I love what Valerie's husband says ~ STOP, DROP, and PRAY. God bless you COH.
ReplyDeleteYou are precisely right COH. Read, watch and PRAY! Read to gain discernment of the word, Matthew 16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? Watch and try the spirits. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Pray… Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
ReplyDeleteSis Valerie your husband is so right! what can we do without Prayers? The times are evil and Christians cannot afford to deceive themselves anymore.

COH, I agree with that statement. The charismatics lack discernment....they have been carried away by manifestations.
ReplyDeleteThe gifts are NECESSARY. However, the Church today mainly consists of people who don't have the balance.
Abba, my heart's cry is that people would be grounded in Your Word. There are those who have been exposed to abuse of the gifts which has led them to disbelieve and scorn at the true gifts.
It's time we got into the chambers...into prayer chambers that is....and got down to business. Gifts are given for a purpose, we need to use them for the expansion of God's kingdom....Dont be ignorant of them.
Let us strive to maintain in balance in the Word of God....not going to either extremes.
Sid
Good advice, and well said, sis!
ReplyDeleteSid I agree with your statement that . . . the Church today mainly consists of people who don't have the balance.
ReplyDeleteGodbless you for that comment
Godbless You Isaiah!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my major concerns, and my heart has such a burden for the deceived and disillusioned. I've had someone leave me a comment telling me that he de-converted b/c of messes like these! That is why I do what I do. Stop, Drop and Pray is an amazing motto, something I do all day long, and could certainly do more often. You can't ever pray too much.
ReplyDeleteWonderful way of summing it all up and getting to the point!! God Bless you!
Lorikate it is pity for that one that did that b/c there is no other way to be saved other than Jesus Christ.
ReplyDeleteKeep doing your work and God will bless you mightily
