VISION - ESCAPING the SPIRIT of THE AGE -by Gary/Dagazz. Vision of the Present and Coming Western Church - 06-05-11:
I saw the people of God scattered in dark foreboding waters. They
were broadly scattered and mostly trapped into an apathy of the
status quo. As I looked I could see that many were comfortable
being scattered and overcome by the spirit of the age, but I sensed
a storm was about to shake many out of their apathy and awaken
them to repentance and revival.
As the sea began to roar in the coming storm I was able to see
that many individuals were alone, discouraged and struggling as
the waves and wind began to beat upon them. Some began to
realize the bondage and danger they were in and call out to God,
seeking a way of escape, many had begun to seek out others in
the tossing waves and together they had managed to keep their
heads above the swelling storm and encourage each other to
hope and trust in Christ.
I was fascinated and moved with empathy and compassion as I
saw my brothers and sisters struggle and endure; what I saw
happen next amazed me. Those who began to seek a way out of
this ocean of bondage were lifting their heads, seeking their Lord,
seeing a glimmer of the revelation of His kingdom, power and glory
and beginning to move towards the brightening land that was visible
on the horizon of the dawning day. Those that did this were for a
time fighting for their lives as the waves tried to push them down,
crashed over their heads as the wind stung their faces and sought
to blind them to the hopeful vision they were beginning to see.
Those who didn’t struggle had no such drama and were carried
along by the storm, spared the battle that these others were
going through. Some struggled for a time, became discouraged
that things seemed to get worse and lay back, defeated in the dark waters.
As I watched those that refused to quit, it was as if these
persevering, praying, struggling saints suddenly became vessels,
like small fishing skiffs, or mullet boats as we call them. The wind
and waves tried to sink these vessels but as they got their bearings
and began to steer the course towards the growing glory, the bows
of the boats rose above the waves and the wind filled the sails and
sped them towards their destination. Because they had persevered
and not been thrown off course these people began to rejoice in
the stability and freedom they were experiencing now they had
escaped the clutches of the raging sea.
I was excited as I saw that this was God’s church that was being
raised up, those in the vessels were of one heart and mind,
focused on the Lord, His kingdom and glory and filled with hope
and joy. Some of these vessels would rescue others as they sailed
along and had soon grown into a great multitude. As I saw what I
believe the Spirit told me was the end time church, I was impressed
that they were what could best be described as a powerhouse of
encouragement, unity of purpose, prayer, proclamation and exhortation.
I saw one of these vessels cutting through huge waves that were
seeking to drown a group caught in the storm. A cry of intercession
came forth from the body of believers in the ship that had a power
like holy violence, it was as though the darkness was in an instant
driven back and the roaring waves scattered. The sacrifice of these
vessels, in seeking to save those lost in the worst of the storm
meant they had to turn aside from their straight path and the comfort
of rising above the waves, and again be for a time be beaten and
tossed by the storm, but love enabled them to endure this for the
joy of seeing captives set free. I was weeping as I saw this great
love and sacrifice for the sake of others being expressed by the church.
I then made two errors in comprehending what I was seeing, both
ideas were met with the rebuke of the Lord as they rose from my
heart. The first was that this church seemed to be free from leaders
as we know them in the church today and just seemed to be made
up of ordinary everyday people doing extraordinary things. I was
asked a question. “Have I not set in my church leaders, teachers,
prophets, evangelists and shepherds; for what purpose are they
given to the church?” I instantly knew my heart was wrong, this
end time church was not against leadership, but was in fact the
product of ministry gifts that are focused on maturing and mobilizing
the saints to be God’s people. There were prophets in the Spirit of
Elijah, convicting, challenging and proclaiming holiness. As I looked
closer I saw such people uniting families, diverse cultures and age
groups on the vessels they served on. I also saw teachers,
evangelists and other gifted leaders, all were giving glory to God
and proclaiming the Lord Jesus Christ. He was their head, their
vision and their treasure. None were elevating themselves above
the people, they were lifting up Christ and enabling people to truly
know and walk with God for themselves. One crucial characteristic
of these groups was that they were all extremely sensitive to, and
empowered by the wind of the Spirit, and were no longer fearful of
the storm or its power.
The other error I made was in determining in my heart to devote
myself to becoming part of the glorious church that I had just seen.
I was shocked that such a goal was subject to correction as I saw
it as a noble and valuable pursuit. I was encouraged to, “Seek first
the Lord and His righteousness,” and warned of the danger of
settling for any experience, movement or ministry along my journey
that would cause me to camp at a certain place of progress and
lead me to not continue in the upward call of God in Christ. I knew
that my carnal, religious heart could easily settle for less than the
fullness that God desires to bring to His church.
One tragic part of the vision was that in the dark stormy sea I could
see large crowds of people gathering together but seeming to be
at ease in this environment. As I looked closer I saw that these
groups of people were gathering around gifted and charismatic
people who held these storm tossed but united believers together
with their words, slick presentations and dynamic personalities. I
thought that they also would acknowledge that they were trapped
in worldly, satanic or other enslavements in this storm and find
freedom as others around them had begun to. As I considered this
I saw that during this time these groups would also gather new-
comers who were drawn to the big crowds and the bold encouraging
words that the leaders spoke. I heard many of the people trapped
in these groups encouraging each other that their church was
growing and that this was a sign of God’s blessing upon them.
They were also questioning the authority of these other believers
sailing past them to freedom, feeling they were not in proper
submission to church leadership. They were sadly comforted in
their blindness.
Some leaders did realize the deception they were living under and
turned from being the centre of these groups and began to humble
themselves and lift up and turn the eyes of their followers to Christ.
Soon many of these groups were becoming like the others that I
had seen, escaping the storms, being mobilized in their true gifts
and callings and finding liberty and victory in their lives, with Christ
as their head.
I pray this will encourage everyone in the storms they are facing
or about to face.

What is Your Ministry?

Do you remember when you first gave your life to the Lord? What was the first thing you wanted to do? You wanted to tell someone right. You had a burning desire to tell someone….anyone…about Jesus. The spirit of the Lord within you created a deep longing to be a witness to the truth of the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. You were willing to tell anyone who would stand still long enough to listen weren’t you?.
Then, if you were like most people, you were told that the first thing you needed to do was to get into a good church. So, off you went like a good little sheep to that good church. In that church you met other saved people, friendly people, people like you who had found Jesus. You probably got involved in the choir, or perhaps you volunteered to hand out programs on Sunday morning. Maybe you were an usher. Some were even tapped by the pastor to teach a Sunday school class. Soon you found yourself busy with the work of the Lord. And slowly, over a period of time that good church with all its programs and man made traditions took your desire….that desire to tell someone about Jesus…that desire implanted in you by the Holy Spirit…they took that desire and crushed it right out of you.
Eventually you were conditioned to believe that being involved in the church was the same as being a disciple of Christ. Over time you began to understand that the role of the Christian was to attend church once or twice a week, pay your tithes and offerings, maybe volunteer to help with the Sunday night pot luck supper and leave the real work of the ministry to the professionals.
My God in heaven how did we ever come to this?

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4;11-12
The church as God established it has been perverted beyond recognition. Few people see this because the church in its present form is all they’ve ever known.
Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Ez 22:26
How can a blind man comprehend the majesty of millions of stars shining in the night? How can one describe the beauty of a forested mountain range without ever having seen it? How can one know the power and might of the true Body of Christ in the earth when all they’ve ever known is this weak, frail, sickly man made imitation that claims the name but denies the power of that name.
I must admit that I have never physically seen the true church. I have only had glimpses of it in the spirit. I’ve only known the barest outline of its form as contained in scripture. But the Most High God has stirred something in my spirit. I have a longing, a yearning to see the true church formed in the earth. I desire with all my heart to witness the construction of the true Temple</PLACETYPE /> of God</PLACENAME /></PLACE />. A building not made with hands. A building made not of dead bricks and mortar but a building of living stones, each one formed by the hand of God himself and perfectly fitted. A living breathing entity moving in perfect harmony upon the earth, showing forth the power and might of the God of the universe.
Every born again believer is a minister of the gospel. Every person who is filled with the Holy Spirit is called a king and a priest upon the earth. You have a place. You have a position within the Temple</PLACETYPE /> of God</PLACENAME /></PLACE />. You are called not to go to church but to be the church.
You are not called to serve your pastor. He is called to serve you. It is his job to prepare you, to make you fit for service in the kingdom. It is the job of the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher to make believers ready and able to be witnesses to the death burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. All the teaching, preaching, exhortation, and prophecy should be for the express purpose of finding your ministry gift and honing that gift to perfection.
When we come together as a body it should never be just to listen to one man hold forth. All should be encouraged to share. All should be encouraged to bring a song, a teaching, a testimony of what God is doing in their lives. When we pray it should be both corporately and individually. Every believer has the power of God to lay hands on the sick. Every one should be able to pray the prayer of faith and expect God to answer.
When we go out to our daily lives in the world it should be for the sole purpose of glorifying the Lord Jesus Christ. Every day we should seek opportunities to be a witness to a dying world. Every day we should ask God to open doors, to bring people across our path, that we might show forth the power of God in our own lives. We should learn to speak as an oracle of God in every situation, in every place.
Do you have a burning desire to be a minister of the gospel? What are you waiting for? Don’t sit around, living for yourself, expecting the professionals to do the work of the ministry. You do it.
Do have a desire to help the needy? What are you waiting for? Make some sandwiches or buy a sack full of hamburgers, get some bottled water and go find someone who is hungry. Take some groceries to a needy family. Buy some inexpensive blankets and give them away to people living on the streets.
Go to a hospital and ask God to direct you to people who need and will accept prayer. Visit a nursing home in your area and ask people if they’d like for you to pray for them. Be the church. Don’t expect someone else to do it. Ask God to open doors for you. Ask him to show you your ministry. Allow Christ in you to come forth and do the works he has always done, heal the sick, bring sight to the blind, set the captives free!
Since it is obvious none of this is ever going to be done by the religious establishment, God is doing it himself. He is searching for his sheep. He is making them ready and sending them forth in the world. He himself is building his temple. Will you be a part of it? Will you say not my will Lord but thy will be done. Will you say send me oh Lord, send me?

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel</PLACE /></COUNTRY-REGION /> by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. FAITH UNDER FIRE: Judge tells Christian: 'I would kill you' Reportedly threatens woman who chooses to worship Jesus

A woman arrested at the Cairo airport because her identity card described her as a Christian has been threatened for her faith by the judge in her case, according to a new report.

As WND reported, authorities in Egypt deprived the woman's two children, ages 2 and 4, of food to try to coerce her to abandon Christianity and return to Islam.

According to the Assyrian International News Agency, a woman identified as Martha Samuel Makkar was arrested Dec. 13 as she, her husband, Fadl Thabet, and two sons were trying to leave Cairo for Russia.

Makkar, formerly known as Zainab Said Abdel-Aziz, was accused of carrying forged government documents, because she identified herself as a Christian. Islamic law forbids Muslims from abandoning the faith.

Now, according to Compass Direct News, she has been granted bail, and released to rejoin her husband and sons at home pending her forgery trial.

However, the release was not without complications.

Makkar's lawyer, Nadia Tawfiq, reported that Judge Abdelaa Hashem questioned Makkar closely about her Christian faith during a courtroom hearing.

The decision to grant her bail came Saturday in the hearing before Hashem after Makkar told the judge about her new Christian faith and her abandonment of Islam.

Tawfiq told Compass Direct "the judge then said, 'I want to talk with Martha alone,' so we all left the room, and he said to her, 'Nobody changes from Muslim to Christian – you are a Muslim.'

"And she said, 'No, I am a Christian.' He told her, 'If I had a knife now, I would kill you,'" the lawyer said.

Makkar, 24, has said she's been enduring death threats from police and members of her extended family for the five years since she converted.

There is no established legal precedent in Egypt for allowing people to leave Islam. And national law doesn't provide a channel through which to change the religious designation on an identity card.

The Compass report said George Abyad, 67, and Masood Guirges, 55, employees of the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate in Alexandria, also were arrested on suspicion they aided Makkar with her papers.

Egypt formally recognizes Islamic Shariah law as the source of justice, and Christians have faced persecution there for generations.

The American Center for Law and Justice has participated in a fight to keep a man who fled Egypt from being deported from the U.S. A recent decision from the 3rd U.S. District Court of Appeals gave Sameh Khouzam the right to challenge Egypt's "diplomatic assurances" that he would not be tortured on his return to the Middle East nation.

Egypt has been demanding his extradition in a homicide case he alleges is trumped-up. The case has been highlighted by spokesman Sam Grace of Coptic News. He praised U.S. District Judge Thomas Vanaskie's earlier ruling that Khouzam "most assuredly has a right not to be tortured."

Grace earlier told WND Christians in Egypt are hostages.

"We live in a time that is really as bad if not worse than the time of the martyrs," he said.

Multitudes of Christians have been attacked, and many killed, yet not one Muslim ever has been convicted in the attacks, he said.

"The why is very simple, because Shariah law says the blood of the Muslim should not be shed for the blood of an unbeliever," he said.

Grace said since Egypt's constitution concludes laws derive from the Quran, persecution of Christians is not only allowed but endorsed by the government.

"In the last 10 years, more than 5,000 Christians have been massacred in Egypt," he told WND. "Hundreds of businesses and homes first have been looted, then burned and destroyed. Churches have been burned and destroyed."

Grace told WND that attacks, lootings and burnings are common in Egypt on Fridays, after the local imam preaches violence against Christians at his mosque.

"The life of a Christian in Egypt is now worth zero. Every Muslim now knows killing a Christian [is not prosecuted]," he said.

A report from the Coalition for the Defense of Human Rights concluded Coptic Christians in Egypt have been harassed, tortured and killed by Muslims for 1,400 years.

"They have been subjected to all kinds of hate crimes including, the abduction of young Coptic girls, the killing of Coptic women and children and the destruction of their places of worship," the report said.

Our Nations, brothers and Sisters are given in to Idolatry by continuing in these practices AND we have a responsibility to stop and correct them and point them to the right direction/way *(JESUS CHRIST John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me) lest the Lord take His eyes away from us and our people and we become desolate . Some may say it is already happening but I tell you today if we truly repent the Lord will still bless us but if we do not and keep on whoring after strange doctrines and evil desires of the flesh things are bound to get worse. . . .Sounds terrible heh? imagine what we are doing to the Lord daily by provoking Him to anger by our evil ways and unrepentant nature. As matter of fact if President Obama is not enjoying this he should come out and tell his followers to cool it down.

Obama's Triumphant Entry In Iowa

This took place on January 19, 2009, a day before the inauguration of President Obama, in Des Moines, Iowa, where His meteoric rise began. While onlookers waived palm branches, a motorcade consisting of 4 black SUVs, the sculpture affixed to a donkey, and secret service agents made the the mile long triumphal entry which ended at the steps of the State of Iowa Capitol building.

DES MOINES, Iowa – Amid the pomp, circumstance and celebration of welcoming a new president, an artist in Iowa created an inaugural parade sure to draw attention, even hundreds of miles from Washington, D.C.: Barack Obama, riding on a donkey, complete with waving palm fronds and "Secret Service" escort.

As WND reported, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan declared in October that when Obama talks, "the Messiah is absolutely speaking." But artist Matthew J. Clark's parade – marching Obama through the streets of Des Moines in similar fashion to Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem – takes the messianic imagery even farther.

The Bible describes Jesus' procession into Jerusalem in the 21st chapter of Matthew as the fulfillment of the prophet Zechariah's words, "Behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass," or as the New International Version paraphrases, "gentle, and riding on a donkey." As the celebrated Messiah entered the city, the Bible also tells of adorers spreading their cloaks at Jesus' feet and waving palm fronds.

Charlotte Eby, columnist for Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, witnessed a strange sight earlier this week, as a sculpture of Obama marched down Des Moines' Locust Street in similar fashion.

"Progressing slowly down Locust and holding up traffic was a rubbery Barack Obama sculpture saddled on the back of a donkey," Eby writes. "A pair of black SUVs led the procession and two more trailed behind, Secret Service-style. A couple of the SUVs were decked out with tiny American flags."

Eby continues, "A few men led the Donkey down the street and a woman made her way along the sidewalk, keeping up with the procession and handing out palm branches to the few perplexed onlookers who had gathered on the sidewalks to see what the fuss was about."

Clark called the marching artwork "A Simulacrum of Hope: Simulation of the Triumphal Entry of the Christ."

The American Heritage Dictionary defines the word "simulacrum" as "an image or representation; or an unreal or vague semblance," leaving the viewer to interpret whether Clark considers the parade a celebration of Obama or a mockery of Obama's more adoring supporters.

Clark's website describes the sculpture in equally vague terms.

"This project was inspired by my thoughts about 'icons' and religious symbols and whether they represent truth or merely represent," the website reads. "The sculpture poses a question that relates to social conventions, metaphysics, and the collective response of society in reaction to fearful and uncertain times, but doesn't impose an answer. For me, it has much more to do with the general public as followers than any leader granted power."

According to a bio on his website, Clark is "a contemporary visual artist whose primary medium is sculpture. His projects are concept driven and primarily concerned with highlighting contradictions between ideas and their outworking in our current culture."

The website also reports that since the parade has ended, the sculpture will be retired to sit upon a taxidermist-mounted donkey.

Pastor Ted Haggard faces more gay-sex accusations!?

Disgraced pastor's former church paid settlement to young volunteer

DENVER - Disgraced evangelical leader Ted Haggard's former church disclosed Friday that the gay-sex scandal that caused his downfall extends to a young male church volunteer who reported having a sexual relationship with Haggard — a revelation that comes as Haggard tries to repair his public image.

Brady Boyd, who succeeded Haggard as senior pastor of the 10,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs, told The Associated Press that the man came forward to church officials in late 2006 shortly after a Denver male prostitute claimed to have had a three-year cash-for-sex relationship with Haggard.

Boyd said an "overwhelming pool of evidence" pointed to an "inappropriate, consensual sexual relationship" that "went on for a long period of time ... it wasn't a one-time act." Boyd said the man was in his early 20s at the time. He said he was certain the man was of legal age when it

began. Reached Friday night, Haggard declined to comment and said all interviews would have to be arranged through a publicist for HBO, which is airing a documentary about him this month.

Boyd said the church reached a legal settlement to pay the man for counseling and college tuition, with one condition being that none of the parties involved discuss the matter publicly.

Boyd said a Colorado Springs TV station reached him Thursday to say the young man was planning to provide a detailed report of his relationship with Haggard to the station. Boyd said the church preferred to keep the matter private, but it was the man's decision to go public.

The disclosure comes as Haggard, 52, is about to give a series of high-profile interviews to promote the cable documentary about his time in exile. He is scheduled to appear on CNN's Larry King Live on Thursday, the date of the documentary's premiere, and already has taped "The Oprah Winfrey Show."

'Not hush money'
In early 2007, New Life Church disclosed that an investigation uncovered new evidence that Haggard engaged in "sordid conversation" and "improper relationships" — but didn't go into detail. Earlier, a church board member had said there was no evidence that Haggard had sexual relations with anyone but Mike Jones, the former male prostitute.

Haggard confessed to undisclosed "sexual immorality" after Jones' allegations and resigned as president of the National Association of Evangelicals and from New Life Church, where he faced being fired.

Anticipating criticism of the settlement with the former church volunteer, Boyd said Friday that it was in the best interests of all involved. He would not name the volunteer or the settlement amount.

"It wasn't at all a settlement to make him be quiet or not tell his story," Boyd said. "Our desire was to help him. Here was a young man who wanted to get on with his life. We considered it more compassionate assistance — certainly not hush money. I know what's what everyone will want to say because that's the most salacious thing to say, but that's not at all what it was."

He said that "secondarily, it's not great for our church either" that the story be told. Boyd said Haggard knew about the settlement two years ago.

In a letter e-mailed Friday to New Life Church members, Boyd said of the settlement and agreement not to talk: "This decision was made not as an attempt to conceal wrongdoings, but to protect him from those who would seek to exploit him. His actions now suggest that he has changed his mind."

The letter said the church "received reports of a number of incidents of inappropriate behavior" after Haggard's fall. "In each case, we have tried our very best to do the right thing each time, including disciplinary action when appropriate."

Speaking out
Boyd said the "inappropriate behavior" referred to the man who was the volunteer involved with Haggard. After Haggard's fall, another church staff member resigned after admitting to what was described as "sexual misconduct."

Boyd said the church will not take action against the man if he tells his story in the press.

"We have legal standing to do that, but not the desire to," he said.

Boyd said he had spoken to the man once and came away with the impression that he was speaking out because of the documentary. "I think what caused this young man to be a bit aggravated was Ted being seen as a victim, when he himself had experienced a great deal of hurt," Boyd said. "I seriously doubt this man would have come forward if the documentary had not been made."

In an AP interview this month before an appearance in front of TV critics in California, Haggard described his sexuality as complex and something that can't be put into "stereotypical boxes."

Celente of the Trends Research Institute who specialises in forecasting about social, economic, consumer and political trends, and had predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions - all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week.

He also said that the dollar would eventually be devalued by as much as 90 per cent.

The consequence of what we have seen unfold this year would lead to a lowering in living standards, Celente predicted a year ago, which is also being borne out by plummeting retail sales figures.

The prospect of revolution was a concept echoed by a British Ministry of Defence report last year, which predicted that within 30 years, the growing gap between the super rich and the middle class, along with an urban underclass threatening social order would mean, “The world’s middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest,” and that, “The middle classes could become a revolutionary class.”

In a separate recent interview, Celente went further on the subject of revolution in America.

“There will be a revolution in this country,” he said. “It’s not going to come yet, but it’s going to come down the line and we’re going to see a third party and this was the catalyst for it: the takeover of Washington, D. C., in broad daylight by Wall Street in this bloodless coup. And it will happen as conditions continue to worsen.”

“The first thing to do is organize with tax revolts. That’s going to be the big one because people can’t afford to pay more school tax, property tax, any kind of tax. You’re going to start seeing those kinds of protests start to develop.”

“It’s going to be very bleak. Very sad. And there is going to be a lot of homeless, the likes of which we have never seen before. Tent cities are already sprouting up around the country and we’re going to see many more.”

Atheist bus adverts: Christian refuses to drive bus declaring ‘there’s probably no God’

A devout Christian has become the first driver to refuse to get behind the wheel of a bus bearing an atheist poster declaring God probably does not exist.

Ron Heather, 62, walked out in protest after seeing the advert declaring: “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.”

He told his managers he could not drive the bus because the slogan, placed on the side of 800 buses across the country last week after a fundraising campaign raised £140,000, went against his faith.

They have now agreed to accommodate his religious beliefs by letting him drive buses in Southampton that do not bear the controversial message, which has been supported by atheists including Professor Richard Dawkins, the evolutionary biologist.

It comes after more than 200 people complained to the Advertising Standards Agency about the posters, which were created by Ariane Sherine, a comedy writer, as an antidote to religious adverts on public transport that “threaten eternal damnation” to passengers.

The watchdog is now considering whether to investigate the campaign on the grounds that it is offensive, or that its central claim about God’s existence cannot be substantiated.

Mr Heather, who served in the Royal Navy for 25 years before becoming a bus driver four years ago, said: “When I first saw the bus last Saturday I was shocked.

“I was just about to board and there it was staring me in the face. My first reaction was horror. I’d heard about this silly campaign in London but I had no idea it was coming to Southampton.

He added: “There would be no way buses would be able to drive around with an anti-Muslim message like that on the side mentioning Allah. There would be uproar.

“I’m not the only one who has mentioned it – some of the passengers don’t like the adverts at all.”

Despite the complaints since the atheist buses took to the streets, the campaign is still being seen as a success because its organizers had only hoped to raise £5,500 and place adverts on a few routes in London.

The adverts were backed by some faith groups for encouraging debate about religion.

Hanne Stinson, chief executive of the British Humanist Association, which is running the campaign, said: “I have difficulty understanding why people with particular religious beliefs find the expression of a different sort of beliefs to be offensive.”

"How can this be happening?," you might wonder. "Hasn't America always been a Christian nation?"

No question about it. America was founded by Christians. Its very purpose for being was the furtherance of biblical Christianity, according to the Pilgrims and succeeding generations. The nation's school system was created for the express purpose of propagating the Christian faith. Almost all of the Founding Fathers who drafted and signed the Constitution were Christian believers. Even U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Josiah Brewer, in the high court's 1892 "Church of the Holy Trinity v. The Greatest Faith

"The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed... When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel" (Matthew 8:8,10).

The Bible tells us of a Roman centurion (a centurion was in authority over 100 soldiers) who had a sickly servant. The centurion humbly came to Jesus and asked for the Lord to heal his friend. Jesus said he would come heal the sick servant. Then the centurion said something to Jesus that impressed Him greatly. Whatever it was that the centurion said, Jesus told the crowd that He'd not found so great a faith in all of Israel. This is quite remarkable.

Now when Jesus says that He hasn't found so great faith in all of Israel, we ought to sit at the edge of our chair and pay close attention to what the centurion said. What was it that this man said that impressed Jesus so greatly? Hebrews 11:6 states, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Since it is faith that pleases God, and this centurion had the greatest faith in Israel, then we ought to seriously ponder over the words that he spoke to Jesus. What did this centurion say to Jesus?

Let's read Matthew 8:5-10...

"And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." —Matthew 8:5-10

The centurion had so much faith in Jesus that He recognized the power of Jesus' very Words. This man had faith in the Word of God! The centurion was a man of authority and recognized Jesus' omnipotence. There is no greater faith than to trust the Words of God, i.e., the Bible.

The Word of God is Above the Name of Jesus

"I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name." —Psalm 138:2

There is NO name any greater than the name of "Jesus"; yet the Bible proclaims in Psalm 138:2 that the Word of God is ABOVE the name of God. Philippians 2:9-11 state...

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Why does God elevate His Word above His holy name? It's because God is only as trustworthy as His Word. We've all heard the saying, "A man is only as good as his word." We'll, the same holds true for God. If God's Word is not correct and reliable, then God is unfair and dishonest for misleading us. If Jesus wasn't referring to literal fire and torment in Luke 16:19-31, then He was misleading His listeners. Jesus plainly states in John 14:1,2... "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you." Jesus said what He meant, and meant what He said. God cannot lie (Titus 1:2). John 18:20 states, "Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing." Beware of all these quacks nowadays who claim to have discovered "new" and "secret" revelations, codes and hidden messages in the Bible. Not so! Jesus said He spoke OPENLY TO THE WORLD. Amen!

The Bible contains literally THOUSANDS of promises from God, and you can rest assure that He will faithfully fulfill every one of them. God's credibility is important to Him, which is why He gave the rainbow to mankind as a token of His promise never to destroy the world again by flooding (Genesis 9:12-17). The rainbow is a frequent reminder that God keeps all His promises. Jesus is Precious!

Salvation is of the Heart

There are many naysayers, skeptics and mockers in the world today (as there were in Jesus' time). They continually place God on trial and demand "proof" of everything. Something is wrong with their heart. Interesting, 2nd Corinthians 4:4 teaches that Satan blinds the MIND on unbelievers to prevent them from getting saved; but the Bible plainly declares in Romans 10:9,10 that salvation is of the HEART...

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them" (2nd Corinthians 4:4).

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9,10).

Salvation is NOT an intellectual experience, nor a philosophy that one adopts; it is trusting in one's heart upon the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God Who washes away our sins... "To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins."

The Greatest Faith is to Trust God's Word,

The greatest faith in the world is to simply trust upon the Word of God, i.e., to take God at His Word. When God doesn't answer your prayers—trust His Word. When you don't see God working in your life—trust God's Word. When everything seems so wrong, and the walls are closing in around you, and you just don't want to face another day of life—trust God's Word. When all hope seems lost, and things just couldn't seem to get worse—trust God's Word. When people hurt you, and defraud you, and hypocritically judge you—trust God's Word. When others hurt your feelings and do you wrong—trust God's Word. When you don't understand why the world is so messed up and children are starving to death daily—trust God's Word. Trust what God hath promised and know that He is God. While the heathen world relentlessly places God on trial, let every believer proclaim with the psalmist in 136:1... "O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever." God is a good God.

I don't need to see signs or evidences from God, I trust His Word. I don't need to experience visions or dreams from God, I trust His Word. I don't need to understand "why" things are the way they are, I trust His Word. I trust God's Word, and that's all that matters. If my health is gone, and my wife is gone, and my job is gone, and my happiness is gone... "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him" (Job 13:15).

True Christian Believers not Welcomed in Most Churches Today

The Christian Establishment is asleep, ignorant, apostate and dead. However, the Christian Church is awake, aware, holy, and alive.

There is a True Christian Church,

But wait! In the midst of all this apostasy, even as the "Congregations of the Dead" continue to spin out the devil's foolishness, there remains a true Christian Church. The wicked and their leaders are greater in number, and the world holds its filthy-lucre pastors in higher esteem. But the faithful people I like to call "The Little People"—men and women who pray and humble themselves before God and who proclaim the power and perfection of His Word—are still out there.

True, the people of the real and authentic Christian Church are hated and despised by the pastors of the bigger "Christian Establishment" churches. Usually, true Christian believers don't even have a church home; at least not a church they go to labeled Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal, Seventh Day Adventist, Lutheran, or Assembly of God. They're not welcome at these places. But then, they do not desire to enter these big and rich sanctuaries of hell!

Instead, they recall and cherish the precious words of Jesus: "Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Just as vital, the true Christian does not need a popular group of Christian Establishment fun and celebration entertainers, a showman in the pulpit, or an imposing Cathedral of brick or glass and stone. The true Christian has Jesus Christ living in his or her heart. He is drawn nigh to Zion by God's miraculous love. He or she is an overcomer. True Christians know what they are and who He is! They also know who the fakers and pretenders are and are gifted with discernment to understand and appreciate the power of the "mystery of godliness." That's why they don't confuse big numbers and dollars with the spiritual things of God.

Don't be Loved to Death,

Today, the world loves it own, and you will be much loved if you are an active member of Sodom and Egypt's big-time tent, the Christian Establishment. Just remember, Satan's Church will love you all right. It and its people will love a wicked person right to his death. But Jesus and His Christian Church, though they have no money to give you, no fame and sensual delights to offer, will love you to life.

That, dear friends, is the clear choice every person today must make: the choice between the establishment's sure death or Christ's guarantee of eternal life. Have you made your decision yet? Do so quickly. Time may run out very, very soon.

"Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven and God hath remembered her iniquities."

More Arrests For Child Witch Killers in Nigeria

Child ‘Witch’ Killer Arrested in Nigeria:

Police in south-east Nigeria have arrested a man who claimed to have killed 110 child “witches.” Self-appointed ”Bishop” Sunday Ulup-Aya told a documentary film team he “delivered” children from demonic possession.

However, Ulup-Aya reportedly told the police after his arrest, that he only killed the “witches” inside the children, and not the children themselves.

Child rights campaigners say children are frequently abandoned, hideously injured and even murdered because their families believe they are witches.

Self-proclaimed “pastors” extort money from families to exorcise the children, but no one had been charged until now.

Ulup-Aya was arrested in Akwa Ibom State after a child rights campaigner led police to his church and negotiated a consultation fee for an exorcism. He has now been charged with murder.

Five others have been arrested since the weekend and the state government says more arrests are planned.

WE ARE A BAD LOT, WE SONS OF ADAM. One convincing proof of our inherent badness is the way we manage to turn good into evil and make our very blessings a curse to us. Indeed I think a strong case can be made for the belief that sin is merely righteousness in reverse and evil but perverted good. Sin is at bottom the abuse of things in themselves innocent, an illegitimate use of legitimate gifts.
We Christians are cut from the same bolt as the rest of mankind, and while we have been made partakers of a new nature we have not yet been entirely divested of the old. For this reason we are under constant temptation to lapse into the flesh and manifest the old nature rather than the new. I know the arguments against this, but they have never seemed very convincing to me, especially when those who advance them are as likely as not to reveal pretty plain evidences of the old nature before the argument is ended.
Because we are so very human there is real danger that we may inadvertently do the human thing and turn our blessings upside down. Unless we watch and pray in dead earnest we may turn our good into evil and make the grace of God a trap instead of a benefit.
Among the purest gifts we have received from God is truth. Another gift almost as precious, and without which the first would be meaningless, is our ability to grasp truth and appreciate it. For these priceless treasures we should be profoundly grateful; for them our thanks should rise to the Giver of all good gifts throughout the day and in the night seasons. And because these and all other blessings flow to us by grace without merit or worth on our part, we should be very humble and watch with care lest such undeserved favors, if unappreciated, be taken from us.
Men are notoriously lacking in gratitude. Bible history reveals that Israel often took God's gifts too casually and so turned their blessings into a curse. This human fault appears also in the New Testament, and the activities of Christians through the centuries show that as Christ was followed by Satan in the wilderness so truth is often accompanied by a strong temptation to pride. The very truth that makes men free may be and often is fashioned into chains to keep them in bondage. And never forget it: there is no pride so insidious and yet so powerful as the pride of orthodoxy.
Snobbery is the child of pride. Pride at first may be eager and ambitious as it tries to make a place for itself or to prove that it has already attained that place. Later it loses its eager quality and becomes defensive. Finally it ceases to struggle or defend and accepts its own image of itself as something too well established for discussion and too beautiful to improve. When it reaches that stage it has produced a snob, and no snob is ever aware that he is one.
The snob whose claim to superiority is her material possessions is a comical figure, but because she is so pathetic she may with some effort be tolerated. The snob whose glory lies in her ancestors is less easy to endure, but she may be dismissed with the remark that since all she has to be proud of is her forebears the best part of her is under ground. But what shall we say of the intellectual snob? He is unbearable, a man difficult to love and impossible to like. A new school of evangelical Christianity has come up of late which appears to me to be in grave danger of producing a prime crop of intellectual snobs. The disciples of this school are orthodox in creed, if by that we mean that they hold the fundamental tenets of the historic faith; but right there the similarity of their school to New Testament Christianity ends. Their spirit is quite other than the spirit of the early church.
This new breed of Christian may be identified by certain field marks. One is the habit of puffing out the chest and uttering a noise that sounds suspiciously like crowing. Another is the habit of nesting so high that ordinary Christians have difficulty in locating the aerie, and when they do they are unable to climb to it. Then, the song is also quite noticeable in that it consists almost wholly of imitations. Rarely does one of them manage to give forth an original note, but each one waits to hear what Barth or Brunner or Bultmann or Tillich has to say and then imitates it as nearly as possible, only transposing it into the orthodox key. Their mating call is a shrill "Me too! Me too!" which may be heard any time between September and June ringing through the halls of various institutions of evangelical higher learning.
What is overlooked by this new school is that truth is not mental only but moral. The Apostles' Creed quoted in pride, though true, is not true for the one who thus quotes it; one indispensable quality is missing—humility. A theological fact becomes a spiritual truth only when it is received by a humble mind. The proud mind, however orthodox, can never know spiritual truth. Light means nothing to a blind man.
In the Christian life we know most when we know that we do not know, and we understand best when we know that we understand little and that there is much that we will never understand. In the Scriptures knowledge is a kind of experience and wisdom has a moral content. Knowledge without humility is vanity. The religious snob is devoid of truth. Snobbery and truth are irreconcilable.

Am not even going to concern myself with the other religious bodies involved in this but my question is to the fellow Christians who are promoting this abomination unto God called "ONE SABBATH!?"

2 Corinthians 6:14-16 14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil^[d]? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? 16 And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God NLT

I can see why many Christians would not bother about this story/development but if you should read your Bible you will find out that what these Christians are doing is mere traditions of men nothing more and I must say am a little disappointed in all of them (Pastors/Bishops and musicians) who appeared in the video (bet they don't care what I think). Why I say so is, for it makes me wonder what kind of a Christian/Christians would join such a coalition that trivializes Christ and Christianity no matter what they feel they want to do for God in the process. They are forgetting that it was Christ who died for us and not Religion" Also They are making it seem as if we are all serving the same God which is the aim of the NWO, to create a one World Religion where they merge all of the Worlds Religion to one (to be headed by the anti Christ) Many will take this lightly and believe gullibly that it is for a good purpose But, I fear it is for a more sinister purpose in the creation of the ONE WORLD RELIGION and who better to give it a face other than our "Christian Celebrities/ Stars" so that is is easily accepted by most Christians. . . for when the babes in Christ see Michael W Smith and Co, people whom they feel are their role models in Christ, mixing traditions with Scriptures then they think it is ok too and it might also be a God ordained and blessed exercise. . . but How wrong they are.

Todd Bentley Not Yet Restored!?

Suffice it to say that A dear friend, Sir Poddy sent me an email, at first I didn't go to the link but then He sent the article to my inbox which I was very grateful for. Not only did it make it easier for me but I was now going to read this post as the Spirit of God led me to take a look at it. and when I got to it, I became worried by the tone of the letter still I continued reading the post and came off with so many questions but won't be asking any questions today for enough has been said already about this but, that doesn't make it any less painful. For I not only found out that even the ministry itself has a lot of Praying to do for Spiritual wisdom ,but that Todd is even adamant to repent of His sins and that breaks my little heart

BUT . . .

Christians, it is time I think we start Praying for many who are called to serve in the vineyard of the Lord. We are to Pray even for those who called themselves into the ministry and those who are confused too (trust me there are many confused pastors today).

For I feel that Todd has Hardened His heart since He insists on divorcing his faithful wife and continuing in the unholy relationship he is been having with their former nanny as you would see from the highlighted points in this post below (though very long but have selected few important areas for you to read) so you can then know which area you will direct your Prayers.

I don't want to bloviate on this post neither do I want to Gossip online as some put it, as a matter of fact the whole Todd Bentley saga is just too much for me to handle amongst other things going on in life. This issue nonetheless deserves our noting, that once upon a time so, so happened for future references and for reproving of others when we notice that they are stepping off the mark. For we have been called to be watchmen Ezekiel 33:7

that said I do not think am the best qualified to write on this because I have seen most of the news articles on this story from the sympathetic to the downright mean articles (even we Christian bloggers can be mean some times) .It became impressed upon my heart to ask for Prayers for the whole Fresh Fire Ministries not just for Todd Bentley. for there are certain things I do not get from their letter to us all.

Not to rain on their parade but, there are some phrases used here am having problems with like, "Soaking each day " and the continuous excuses they keep making for Todd by listing his "great accomplishments" and also indicting others for criticizing them too not to mention the misquoting of certain scriptures to suit their purposes or should I say, the careful selection of suitable Biblical references to suit them. So am confused about this letter cause if it is an an apology letter then they have some lessons to learn in humility and true repentance. . . .anyway let me not make a long post, longer. READ ON if you can . . . . . . . . . . .

After a long silence a new update has been sent out about Todd Bentley. As many of you know Lakeland ended with Todd being pulled out of ministry to rectify problems in his marriage. The latest news is in the following letter from Fresh Fire. Sadly it is not a very pretty picture. We love Todd and know Daddy is grieving. Todd is precious in His sight. They have been used mightily by God to push the boundary and raise the bar in our generation. Blessings Emerge team.

Please allow us to begin by sincerely apologizing for the long silence between our first two letters and this one. We will do our best to help you understand why it has taken us so long to respond to your many legitimate requests for information. Please also know that we write this letter as an explanation of our silence and not a defense of it.

We have received letters, emails and phone calls from many of you during the last three months, expressing sympathy and support as well as frustration and disappointment. We ourselves have been on an emotional rollercoaster for some time now and have found that looking to the Lord for His new mercies every morning enables us to make it through the day.

In light of our lack of communication, some of you have felt the need to withdraw your partnership with Fresh Fire Ministries; we completely understand and both release and bless you in your walk with God. Others have been compelled to discontinue their giving as a result of the economic crisis in America and in other countries around the world. We thank you for the many years of faithful support, and wish you to know that it was not in vain; more on that later. Nonetheless if you must go, for whatever reason, we trust that the Lord will lead you in connecting with the many other excellent ministries out there faithfully advancing His kingdom. Some of you have received so much good word and powerful impartation through FFM, that you might consider starting your own ministry.

Moving on, let us first say that we know, without a shadow of doubt, that Lakeland was and is an authentic move of God. Having known Todd well for many years, both his amazing strengths and his areas of weakness, we can say without reservation that the move of God in Lakeland, which began at Ignited Church, was genuine. We have never seen, in the history of this ministry, a greater quantity and quality of the miraculous demonstration of God's healing power. As the Lord began to pour out His glory in Ignited Church and in the many venues that followed, Todd's spirit was as pure as it has ever been and he was intensely hungry for more of God's presence. He would spend hours soaking each day before the evening meeting, and once the worship had begun, Todd would become lost in the presence of God. The manifestation of amazingly accurate words of knowledge and astounding miracles flowed effortlessly night after night.

As the Outpouring continued, the Board of Directors and other leaders in Lakeland suggested that Todd take a few days off each week to rest and refresh. We learned from experience, however, and the post-Lakeland counsel of Christian leaders, that the anointing can be addictive. Significant personal issues in Todd's life and make-up, as well as, flaws in the functioning structure of our leadership resulted in an impossible pace to maintain… seven nights a week for more than 15 weeks on end. We fully accept the responsibility as a Board of Directors for this lapse in judgment; we should have required that not just Todd and the team, but the entire Outpouring rest a minimum of one day a week. God himself rested after six days work as a pattern for His creation, and if the yoke of the Lord is easy and His burden is light, then He has no need to exhaust His people in a fresh encounter with Him.

As fatigue began to set in, significant personal issues in Todd and in his relationship with Shonnah were exacerbated. This, together with his increased familiarity with a female staff member created more tension in the Bentleys' relationship. As the pressure of leading the revival continued, media attention increased resulting in less and less personal time. With the development of more friction in his marriage relationship, Todd began to make irrational decisions. Alcohol, movies and leisure time spent with a few of the younger, more impressionable members of his staff and road-crew began to replace the hours of soaking in the presence of God in which Todd had engaged during the early days of the Outpouring. Finally, Todd began to burn out, and things came to a head in his relationship with Shonnah. He was unwilling to put distance between himself and the female staff member and ultimately told Shonnah he wanted a separation.

The fact that the revival was in Florida, three thousand miles from our home office in Abbotsford, BC Canada, meant that the entire administration for the revival was provided by a rotating stream of church leaders and Board members who would assist behind the scenes and on the platform for a few weeks at a time and then return to Canada, usually on the verge of total exhaustion. Trying to keep up with the logistics of administrating the revival, including the massive challenge of moving from venue to venue until we finally arrived in the tent along with the media circus that ensued shortly afterwards, meant that communication was greatly inhibited between the leaders involved. Many early signs that something was drastically wrong were overlooked. By the time we became fully aware and/or were willing to admit how dysfunctional things had become behind the scenes, the damage had already been done.

As to our long silence in writing to you, please let us explain. We have been in much contact with Rick Joyner, Bill Johnson, John Arnott and other members of a team focused on restoring Todd, seeking to do all within our power to encourage him to embrace a process of counseling and genuine accountability. In deference to these leaders we have refrained from communicating at all until we could be assured that we were all on the same page. At the same time, senior members of the leadership team here at Fresh Fire as well as members of the Board of Directors have been stretched to the breaking point in attempting to deal with all of the attention created not just by the revelations of Todd's marriage problems and personal issues, but also by the five months of revival preceding their disclosure. Since then, many false accusations and rumors surrounding both Todd and the Lakeland Outpouring have attempted to use Todd's failures as a springboard to question the legitimacy of the revival. Consequently, key leaders have had to step back and rest in order not to burn-out themselves. This, coupled with the busy schedules of the restoration team, all of whom travel internationally, has made getting everyone on the same page difficult.

We so appreciate all those who have stepped in to assist the FFM Board in a process of restoration for Todd, but what we have come to realize is that ultimately, the buck stops with the FFM Board of Directors. No one knows Todd better, or has more access to all the facts from both sides than we do.

Again, we apologize for not writing to you sooner. We struggled for a while with the question of how to satisfy two important obligations – that of honoring Todd, while believing for his restoration and at the same time, our obligation to be completely honest and open with you as our partners. Through much prayer and with the Lord's help, we hope to satisfy both those obligations with this letter.

There is a difference between covering Todd and covering for him. We refuse to expose explicit details of his failings over the last few months, but neither will we pretend there haven't been any. "Covering" is a biblical term as in "love covers over a multitude of sins" or as in the case when Noah's two sons draped him in a blanket when he unwittingly discovered what happens when you drink too much fermented grape juice. "Cover for" is a contemporary idiom meaning to lie or misrepresent the truth in order to enable another to get away with or to continue to be involved in illicit behavior. We have been slow in responding up until now, because we wanted to bring you a positive report, full of hope and the promise of restoration. All of that is still entirely possible and we pray to that end, however, further silence on our part would be misrepresenting the truth by allowing you to believe that what we said in our first two statements (which were true to the best of our knowledge at the time of their writing) is still the case. Unfortunately that is not so.

Here are the facts:
Todd has yet to enter into a clear system of accountability with the leaders he identified that would be involved in such a process. Todd has visited Rick Joyner in Fort Mills, South Carolina, and indicated early on in September that he would be moving there soon to become a part of the community there and to receive counseling from Rick Joyner, Jack Deere, Bill Johnson and others that Rick might feel to bring alongside. Todd is in regular contact with Rick Joyner and has agreed together with Rick that he will move to Fort Mills during the first few months of 2009.

Having spoken with Todd in recent days, he is resolute in his intentions to divorce Shonnah, and in his mind, the restoration he is seeking is one which would not include reconciliation with his wife. Todd admits to being 100% responsible for the divorce.
It also needs to be clarified that Shonnah has in no way initiated this divorce and has no present intention to do so at any time in the future. She is understandably hurt by Todd's infidelity, but is not asking or pressing for a divorce. The legal separation from Shonnah was initiated completely by

Todd and he has not seen her or the children since the last week in July. To our knowledge, Todd's relationship with the female staff-member, who was a former intern and also, at his initiative, a live-in nanny in his house for over a year, is still ongoing. We believe that there are currently no biblical grounds for Todd to leave his wife and children. While it has been maintained that no physical contact happened between Todd and the former female intern until after he filed for legal separation from Shonnah, in the Boards' eyes, the nature of the present relationship between Todd and his former staff member is that of adultery.

Having said all that, our sincere desire is to see Todd first restored to Shonnah and the children, though at present this seems unlikely. We are optimistic that should Todd keep his word and move to Morning Star, Rick and his team are well equipped to be the Lord's instruments in a process toward restoration. With genuine accountability, inner healing, counseling and deliverance we are confident that it is entirely possible for Todd to come through and gain victory over a number of significant personal issues with which he is struggling.

We love Todd dearly and so appreciate the ground he has broken, not just for us, but for many tens if not hundreds of thousands within the body of Christ. Todd's genuine love for the Lord, his hunger and passion for souls and his tangible demonstration of the love of God in miracles, signs and wonders will be remembered for many years to come. Todd is a champion in the Global paradigm shift from a lethargic and dunamis-deficient church to an empowered body of believers carrying out the Great Commission in a mighty demonstration of the Spirit's power. That's how we, and we think many others, will choose to regard Todd even if he doesn't allow the Holy Ghost to work a process of restoration in his life. If he will, and we pray sincerely for that, then only God knows what can be accomplished through this young fire-brand's life.

It is our deep desire that our brother Todd should be restored, and we are still hopeful that this will be achieved. Please let us make it clear, that although what Todd has done is inexcusable, it is not unforgiveable. We do not judge him unworthy of a second, third or even fourth chance, and we hope that you don't either. The Lord spoke clearly that those desiring mercy themselves would be well advised to give it to others, and the Lord has brought amazing goodness and life out of far worse circumstances.

The Lord has been speaking to us about sins of commission and sins of omission. Many may look at Todd and judge him for what he has done and excuse or justify themselves on the basis that they have not failed or sinned (missed the mark) in the areas in which Todd has failed. But if we are going to judge Todd by what he has done, then we need to include all that he has done. And if we will excuse ourselves on the basis of what we have not done, then we must also take into account all that we have not done.

Todd Bentley has demonstrated himself unfaithful to his wife by entering into a relationship with another woman while still legally married. He has consumed more alcohol on a few occasions than is prudent or becoming a Christian leader (or any believer for that matter). His sins have been sins of the flesh and we do not defend them.

He has, however, also seen over 1 million people make decisions for Christ in the 10 years of his ministry. He has been instrumental in seeing the Lord heal tens of thousands of people (if not more) of all manner of sickness and disease through the personal laying on of his hands and who knows how many others vicariously through television and the internet, or though the prayers of those who received the healing anointing through Todd's ministry. He has been used by the Lord to give countless accurate prophetic words and words of knowledge to thousands of people around the globe, and his testimony and passion for God just since April 2 in Lakeland, Florida has touched literally millions through the internet and television.

Jesus said, "They are my children who obey my commandments", and if the theme of the Ten commandments in the Old Testament is "Thou Shall Not", then the theme of the Two Greatest Commandments as outlined by Jesus in the New Testament in Mark 15: 30-31 is most definitely, "Thou Shall!"
"And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength… (and)…You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (NIV).
As is also said in 1 John 4:20-21
"If anyone says, 'I love God,' yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother."
How many believers have become almost vicious in their attack against Todd, demonizing not only him but his ministry and everything he has ever done? What sort of spirit do you think is behind this? And how many around the world are sick and dying and unsaved because of what we, the global body of believers, have not done? Because we have not been obedient to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out devils (Matt. 10:8). Nothing is defined by what it is not, but rather by what it is; not by what it does not do, but by what it does do.

What Todd has done should not only be defined by his present failure. He has raised the bar on what is possible. He has broken a barrier of sorts for all of us and made a pathway into new possibilities. This is what you partnered with - not a man but a transferable anointing and an ability to reach into a combined realm of prophetic revelation and signs and wonders manifestation! Guard your deposit and don't let the enemy's backlash rob you of what you have already received. At the same time we openly admit that what Todd has done at the height of his supernatural breakthrough has resulted in a tragic breakdown in the natural causing great pain to many, but to none so deeply as to his wife and children.

Yet in all this we have been challenged and chastised by the Lord to remain gentle in our hearts toward him while we pray and encourage him to do the right thing and to come into accountability.

Galatians 6:1 is very clear in its instruction on how and with what attitude we are to restore one who has fallen,
"Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted" (NIV).
Maintaining gentleness of heart towards Todd means that we do not write him off or wish any manner of evil upon him. We need to continue to pray for him and to keep a door of relationship open to him. We are willing to assist in the process of his restoration, messy though it may be. Neither does a gentle heart towards Todd mean condoning what he has done nor enabling him to live in sin by either our support or our silence.
So please pray for Todd and also for Shonnah and their family. Pray with fervency that the Lord would do a mighty miracle for the number one purpose of bringing vindication to His Name, but also that we might see our brother restored. We cannot control a person's choices, nor have we any desire to do so. What we can control is our response to their choices and see the Lord take what the enemy means for evil and work it together for good.

We at Fresh Fire Ministries are presently in a season of waiting on God. We are in the process of re-defining our government structure with assistance from leaders in Bethel (the church pastored by Bill Johnson in Redding, California) and others affiliated with Morning Star—Rick Joyner's ministry in South Carolina. In August, Todd verbally stepped down from the FFM Canadian Board of Directors and has recently given written notice of his resignation. With Todd no longer at the helm we are looking to identify vision-casters from within and to refocus the ministry's endeavors in keeping with the original mandate of Fresh Fire Ministries. In the coming weeks we will provide you, our partners with a detailed update of our vision and emerging leadership structure.
There is one area of the ministry that is seeing increased activity, and of all the many ventures and endeavors FFM has been engaged in, we believe this one to be closest to the heart of God. The Uganda Jesus Village in Africa is continuing to expand, with the building of homes on our recently purchased 35 acres of land just outside of Kampala, Uganda. Over the course of the summer, two brand new homes which will house eight to ten children each have been completed and construction is beginning on two more this week.

The purest expression of our faith as defined by the Lord in James 1:27 is to look to the needs of widows and orphans. Many FFM Partners and Missions' Team Members have visited our children's home in Uganda, commenting on the amazing transformation in the lives of these children orphaned by war and disease. Currently we are housing over 60 children in Kampala with a long-term vision to rescue as many as 500 children from the war-torn northern part of Uganda. We are in regular communication with our missionaries in Africa, Luke and Suzanne Jones and their family, and there is so much excitement in their hearts at the prospect of being able to rescue more children.

In this interim period as we wait on the Lord for clarification of our governmental structure we will continue to press forward in the work of supporting and expanding our Uganda Jesus Village. We thank all of our Partners that have given to this work and all of you that have sponsored and continue to sponsor the children in the homes.

Again, our sincerest apologies in having taken so long to respond and communicate to you, our beloved Partners. We thank you all for the grace you have extended us in this difficult season and together we look forward expectantly to brighter days ahead.

God poured Himself out in Florida and through the internet and television, around the world. Not on a man alone, but on a hungry body of believers has He given the seal of His Holy Spirit in power to be witnesses of His saving grace throughout the world. Through the weakness and failure of man, the enemy seeks to defame and discredit what God has done in empowering and authenticating his Church as carriers of His power and anointing to accomplish His purposes in the earth for His Glory.

Let us do as Elisha did when standing alone after a season of mentoring and impartation. Let us swing the mantle that we now carry, the mantle of God's Glory, and together cross over to the other side.

God is waiting for us in 2009—certain to be our greatest year yet!

The Miracle Of Prayer

It is disturbing to find so many people that fail to believe God answers prayer. Several top “authors” and so-called “professionals” being interviewed on TV lately, have claimed that prayer is a great therapy (as an end in itself). You never hear them mention God. It is sad that prayer has been diminished to the status of going to the park to watch the birds. Prayer is not effective because it is a good therapy. Prayer is effective because there is an omnipotent (all powerful) God up in heaven that hears and answers prayer! I am leery of bumper sticker theology. I see bumper stickers promoting about the "Power of Prayer," but prayer is nothing without a Powerful Divine God. I believe in the "Power of God."

Answered prayer can only happen by a miracle of God. A “Miracle” is defined in the Random House College Dictionary as “an event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a divine or supernatural cause”. In other words, GOD DID IT! Everything God does then is a miracle because His power is divine, not human or natural. When we pray, we are petitioning the Creator of the universe for a miracle. If God decides to grant our request (s), it can be nothing less than a divine miracle performed by an Almighty God.

Prayer is not to be taken lightly because God just may give you what you ask. I remember a country song by Garth Brooks, “I thank God for unanswered prayer”. He had been praying, as a youngster, for God to give him a certain girl to be his wife. God didn’t answer his request. He sees this same woman many years later, and then thanks God that his prayers were never answered! So be careful what you pray!!!

Jesus never preached an all night sermon, but he prayed all night! Luke 6:12 says concerning Jesus “He went out into a mountain to pray, and CONTINUED ALL NIGHT IN PRAYER to God.” Jesus disciples could not even watch and pray for “ONE HOUR” (Matthew 26:40,41). Are we guilty of the same negligence in prayer? The Bible says Jesus “continued”, he simply started praying and kept on praying as he felt necessary. Too many Believers center their life around the TV, not Jesus Christ.

Daniel was also a man of prayer! “...he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he KNEELED UPON HIS KNEES THREE TIMES A DAY, AND PRAYED, and GAVE THANKS before his God, AS HE DID AFORETIME” (Daniel 6:10). Daniel had a prayer life. He was about 80 years old now and kept his windows open toward Jerusalem (about 600 miles away) because that’s where his heart was. Jerusalem was his home town. He had been taken into Babylonian captivity as a young lad and longed to be back with his own people again, in the city of his God. We too, are pilgrims passing through this old dark world, and we should open the windows of our heart in prayer towards heaven (home). Daniel prayed morning, evening and afternoon! “Elijah was A MAN SUBJECT TO LIKE PASSIONS AS WE ARE, and HE PRAYED EARNESTLY THAT IT MIGHT NOT RAIN: and IT RAINED NOT on the earth by the space of three years and six months” (James 5:17). What a wonderful truth! Elijah was just a plain, common, everyday human being just like you and me; yet he obtained an answer to his prayer for something VERY BIG! That’s exactly why God is telling us about it, so we will be encouraged to do the same. Even more wonderful is that God is telling us this as pertaining to physical illness and healing. “...PRAY ONE FOR ANOTHER, THAT YE MAY BE HEALED. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous (saved) man availeth (accomplishes) much.” “Effectual” and “fervent” are words meaning ”energy”. In other words, you really mean business and are sincerely pouring your heart out to God the best you know how for a miracle. “...the PRAYER OF FAITH SHALL SAVE THE SICK...” (James 5:15). We need to pray and have “just enough” faith to simply keep praying! It matters not where the faith comes from: a child, someone at church, mom, dad (faith is faith). More than likely it was the elders of the church who had the faith, but not necessarily. It is Jesus Who heals the sick (Matthew 8:16,17), we simply must ask for the healing. “Asking” is faith in itself. One would not ask God for something without at least some degree of faith. Christ is alive today! Go to Him in prayer now.

Now here’s a heart warming truth in Acts 12:1-16. Wicked King Herod had just killed James the Apostle “with the sword”, probably by beheading. Herod saw that “it pleased the Jews”. The Jews were a wicked, rebellious people and most hated Christ. They demanded that the Roman government crucify Jesus, and they did! The persecution continued. Steven was brutally murdered by the Jews in Acts 7:54-60. Jesus, Steven and James had been slain by the Jews, who would be next? Herod now had Peter bound in prison and looked forward to killing him. “...but PRAYER WAS MADE WITHOUT CEASING of the church unto God for him” (Acts 12:5). Guess what? A miracle happened! God answered their prayers and sent an angel to rescue Peter—divine power at work! After Peter was freed, the angel departed. Now Peter comes to the house where everybody was still praying for him (vs. 12). He knocks on the door and Rhoda asks who it is. When she heard Peter’s voice, she was so happy that she ran to tell the others and forgot to open the door! They told Rhoda “THOU ART MAD”. Your nuts! Crazy! Peter was still outside knocking. The Bible says when all those who had been praying opened the door, “THEY WERE ASTONISHED” (vs. 16). “Astonished” means “to put out of wits”. In other words, their minds were amazed! Here’s the beauty of this truth— even though this group of believers didn’t have much faith, God still answered their prayers. They had so little faith that when God did answer their prayers, THEY DIDN'T BELIEVE IT! Wow! What an encouragement to pray! Praying is faith in itself! If you have JUST ENOUGH FAITH to pray (ask) God for something, that’s all the faith God requires. What a Savior! Do you have doubts? Did you know that the more doubt you have, the greater is your faith—as long as you act on the faith! Faith is believing, in spite of the doubts. No matter how much you may doubt that God will answer your prayers, if you simply ask—that’s all the faith needed for your prayer to be answered!

Likewise, all the faith you need to become a born-again believer is JUST ENOUGH. If you have “just enough” faith to “call upon the name of the Lord” (Romans 10:13), you will be saved. “Call” means “to rely upon.” Won’t you make that decision NOW to “rely” 100% upon Jesus Christ as your Savior? Admit to God you’re a sinner, deserving of hell. Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and take you to heaven when you die. Let God work the miracle of salvation in your soul now. God bless!

Rewards offered for murdering Christians, destroying homes, churches

Hindu extremist groups are offering money, food and alcohol to anyone who murders Christians and destroys their homes.

The violence is nothing new in Orissa, India, where India's Communist Party estimates that more than 500 Christians have been killed by Hindu mobs in Orissa since late August, 12 times more than official government claims of only 40 homicides.

But now the stakes are even higher – and pastors have a bounty on their heads.

Faiz Rahman, chairman of Good News India, said Hindu militants are targeting Christian leaders, the Christian Post reported.

"The going price to kill a pastor is $250," he said.

Rahman, a head of several orphanages in Orissa State, said he's helped 25 pastors to leave refugee camps, but 250 Christian leaders are still in shelters.

"All of the pastors are high value targets," Rahman told the UK-based Release International. "We've got to get them out of the refugee camps."

An All-India Christian Council spokesman said, "People are being offered rewards to kill, and to destroy churches and Christian properties. They are being offered foreign liquor, chicken, mutton and weapons. They are given petrol and kerosene."

One official said he personally authorized "cremation of more than 200 bodies" found in jungles after Christians were blamed for the death of Hindu leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati on Aug. 24. They continue to be persecuted even though Maoists openly admitted to murdering Saraswati.

Thousands of homes and churches have been destroyed, and an estimated 50,000 Christians have been forced to flee the violence. Mission Network News estimates 5,000 Christian homes have been burned and 200 churches ruined. According to the Christian Post, 30,000 people remain in government-operated refugee camps. Tens of thousands are living in forests – many seriously wounded.

Father Manoj, based at the archbishop’s office in Bhubaneshwar, said Christians remain in hiding.

"They are too scared to go home. They know that if they return to their villages they will be forced to convert to Hinduism."

Religious rights group Barnabus Fund told the group Hindu militants "forced" Christians in Orissa to "convert" to Hinduism by threatening them with rape if they refused.

Neighbors reportedly gang-raped a Hindu woman after her Christian uncle refused to renounce his faith, according to reports.

Another Christian woman named Jaspina was told by neighbors, "If you go on being Christian, we will burn your house and your children in front of you." She and her family were forced to eat cow excrement to "purify" themselves of Christianity.

Other Christians were doused with gasoline and told to participate in conversion ceremonies or be lit on fire.

This week, Hindu extremists said they have set a deadline for the capture of Saraswati's murderers. If the killers are not caught by Dec. 15, they promised to begin a massacre on Dec. 25, Christmas day.

According to the latest report, Orissa's Catholic bishops wrote an ominous letter to the state's chief minister. It read, "This conflict is a calculated and pre-planned master plan to wipe out Christianity from Kandhamal in order to realize the hidden agenda … of establishing a Hindu nation"

served their idols, which became a snare to them (Psalm 106:35-36).

Years ago, many parents laughed when their children were introduced to Yoga, Transcendental Meditation, relaxation, and visualization techniques in the secular schools and YMCA. Many school teachers and principles shrugged their shoulders and thought the techniques would help develop calmer, better behaved students.

On the job-site, professing Christians participated in company-sponsored "Stress Reduction" seminars. They laughed under their breath and refused to speak out against it--for fear of losing their jobs. Now, many companies across the nation offer Yoga, Tai Chi, Reiki, and other New Age practices as regular motivational courses for employees.

Despite the complaints and concerns, many bookstore managers and officials within the "Christian bookstore" industry laughed and continued to advertise and promote books written by New Age authors. The "bottom line" (money) was more important than the spiritual welfare of the innocent and unwary.

With the husband off to work, a professing Christian woman turned to a video tape and spent and hour-per-day practicing Yoga. She laughed when her three year old child watched and imitated her moves.

Across the nation, and in many parts of the world, certified Yoga instructors cashed in on the booming Christian exercise craze and introduced churches and denominations to "Christian Yoga." The postures were the same as Yoga, they said, but it had nothing to do with Hinduism. They laughed all the way to the bank.

During a church-sponsored "Christian Yoga" class, an instructor began bowing to the "god" within her students, and offered the Hindu Sanskrit salutation, Namaste. The students laughed, rolled their eyes, and bowed to the instructor.

Along with Hatha Yoga, a church offered a Labyrinth walk, a Buddhist Teachings and Meditation group, and Yoga for children. During the children's Yoga class, the adults smiled and laughed when their toddlers tried to perform the Yoga postures.

Average church members laughed when New Age techniques and practices were introduced during church-sponsored retreats, outings, and seminars. They sang the praises of books written by New Age authors, and passed the books around like tea and crumpets at a social event. Those who refused to laugh were encouraged to leave and find another church.

Christian colleges and universities weren't immune to the New Age Movement. Many presidents and faculty members openly welcomed Kundalini Yoga and other New Age practices as an on-and-off campus course. Students laughed as they performed the Cobra pose, the Scorpion pose, and the Corpse pose in their classes, gyms and dorms.

Many pastors across the land laughed, compromised, and turned a deaf-ear to the "Stress Management" and "Christian Yoga" courses being taught in their own churches. It is just a harmless form of exercise, they said. However, some pastors stopped laughing when they noticed a change-for-the-worse in the attitude and spirituality of some of their members.

In his spare time, one pastor practiced Yoga. Along with regular Yoga classes, the pastor's church offered a gentle form of Tai Chi. The pastor's congregation expressed an ever-present joy over his open-mindedness.

Across the world, professing Christians laughed when they were warned about the spiritual, mental, and physical dangers of practicing Yoga and its demon inspired postures. In their stubborn pride they continued to purchase New Age materials and promote New Age practices to untold numbers of men, women, and children.

Years ago, many laughed and brushed-off the New Age Movement as a mere fad that would eventually fade away. But behind the scenes, it slithered into every strata of our society--homes, elementary and high schools, bookstores, jobs, colleges, universities, churches, and pulpits.

But 2,000 years ago, the Apostle Paul refused to laugh when confronted with the New Age Movement of his day. Under divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul provided the following remedy:

Many also of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices. And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they counted up the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing

(Acts 19:18-20).

God expressly forbids the practice of New Age techniques and the promotion of New Age materials.

The Soul-Winning Work of John Vassar

John Vassar was one of the greatest personal workers of the nineteenth century. He never preached a sermon but that he did personal work. He was a wonder. One time he was going to help a preacher in a town. This preacher met Vassar at the Depot. Walking down to the hotel they went past a blacksmith shop. He said to Vassar, "There's a blacksmith in there. He's got a great drag with his crowd but he never comes to church. If we could only win him, then he would win scores in his class." Vassar asked, "Have you talked to him?" "Oh, we are afraid. He will cuss any preacher who comes near him." He said, "Wait a minute until I take my turn." Vassar went in. The man was shoeing a mule -- that isn't a good time to talk religion to a man, take it from me! But Vassar had good sense and waited until the fellow was through and had disarmed his prejudice. In fifteen minutes he had him on his knees weeping like a child. He went up to the hotel where he was to be entertained . He registered, then strolled around, looking for somebody to speak to. He went into a little reception room and there sat a finely dressed lady. He walked up to her and said, "Lady, are you a Christian?" She said, "Yes, I am." "I beg your pardon," he said, "I didn't mean that kind. I mean, have you been born again?"

"Oh," she said, "we've gotten over that here in Boston." "Well," he said, "lady, you've gotten over Jesus Christ in Boston, too. You've gotten over God." He talked with her until her prejudice was disarmed and tears trickled down her cheeks; then he said, "May I pray for you?" She said, "I wish you would. God knows I need it, although I'm a member of the church."

He prayed. She wept and he slipped out. Her husband came in and noticed that her eyes were red. He said, "Has anybody insulted you?" She said, "The queerest little man was here a little while ago and he talked so nice to me about Jesus." He said, "If I had been here I would have told him to go along and mind his business." She said, "I wish you had been here. You would have thought he was minding his business. His business was a mission for his King, to bring people to Jesus Christ."

Vassar distributed tracts in the army. He worked with the American Bible Society. When the chaplain died, they wanted Vassar to take the place of the chaplain. He wasn't ordained and the government law does not allow anybody to be a chaplain who hasn't been ordained. He came up to Poughkeepsie and they were examining him. One fellow with cinders all over his back, said, "Mr. Vassar, your duty now is to distribute tracts. Your salary is three hundred dollars a year, and you wish to be ordained?"

"Yes, sir."

"Does that mean an increase of salary?"

"Yes, sir, fifteen hundred dollars a year."

Then he said, "The increase of salary has allured you and brought you here for us to ordain."

Vassar said, "Stop where you are! I don't want it; I won't take it if you give it to me", and he wouldn't. He went back to distributing tracts for three hundred dollars a year, to do something for Jesus Christ. He was a wonder. God did marvelous things through him.

"Are you lonesome?" a man asked a lighthouse keeper. "Are you lonesome out on this lonesome spot?" He said, "I was before I saved four men from drowning...Is that a boat out there?" He was always on the lookout for other boats that he might save men from a watery grave.

Get somebody else for Jesus Christ and you will get a new vision of life, a new vision of what it means. It is something besides going to church and keeping warm a little spot seventeen inches square for a half hour and listening to a sermonette. You had better squirm around in your seat and stoop down! You had better duck!

"He that winneth souls is wise." Some people think it is beneath their dignity. Then you live on a higher plane than your Master, for He went about doing good wherever he was in the world.

A lady said to a friend of mine, "Do you think that my blindness will hinder me?" My friend answered, "It is a misfortune, but I don't know. I have the opinion it will be a help to you, because people will come up to you to express their sympathy for your lack of sight and that will give you the opportunity to speak of Jesus."

"Oh," she said, "I don't mean in an effort like that, but to stand on the platform." She thought the only way to serve God was to get in the spotlight, not to be doing something with the people whom she might shake hands with day by day in her home.

A man was thinking of entering evangelistic work. He came to my friend, Dr. Chapman, and said, "I am thinking of entering evangelistic work."

"That's good." Dr. Chapman said.

"I think I will begin out in Colorado -- Denver and Colorado Springs, and out in Pasadena, California. My relatives are there."

My friend said, "Have you any brothers or sisters?"

"Yes, I have."

"Are they Christians?"

"Well," he said, "I don't know. When we set up the estate four years ago my brother and I had a quarrel over it and we haven't spoken since."

"And your sister?"

"My sister took my brother's views of the proposition and she hasn't spoken to me since. I haven't been in her home."

Dr. Chapman said, "What do you intend to do?"

He said, "Evangelistic work."

Dr. Chapman said, "The Bible says, 'First be reconciled to thy brother.' If you start out the way you are, failure is written all over you. 'If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me,' the Bible tells me, so there is no use trying to bother your head about God for He won't listen to you. That's as sure as you live."

Incase you are wondering what the NWO is, here a little summary for you my friend in Christ:

Another Lesson On Vanity

Matthew 6:19-21 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth consume, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 for where thy treasure is, there will thy heart be also.

I have always believed this passage and have been living it but today the reality of the passage hit me once again when Lucky came back home from our stock brokers office to tell me that my shares plunged and I lost so many thousands of dollars (USD) in the markets, Immediately I heard in my head this voice say "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth" and I knew right then the Good Lord was teaching me a great lesson and for me to take the message out there to my brothers and sisters that Help only comes from the Lord Trust Him for all your needs Phil 4:19 but am not going to be worried for my God is on the Throne and He will SURELY TAKE CARE OF ME AND ALL THOSE WHO CALL UPON HIS HOLY NAME AMEN

I laughed at myself when I remembered how late last year, I was so foolishly drinking the "kool - aid" of investing in stocks, I went against core biblical principles and against all I have held dear to my heart and lastly against the wish of my husband (in fact I got him to change his mind, something he rarely does . . . but he did now I wish he had resisted)

I have always gone to God for direction in our finances, because I know He is my Source and Provider, without Him I would not have anything , As you all know we in African we trust in God and not in our Govt for they don't take care of nobody so everyone goes to God for their needs, that said I still decided to be "smart" and make some "investments" for I was listening to the stock market analysis daily and my mum also convinced me to invest in stocks as she was busy pumping hundreds of thousands of US Dollars/ millions of Naira into the markets so I followed suite and today lost over fifty percent of what I invested.

Am I mad or angry ? No! just a bit disappointed for I wished I had remained focused and stood on the Biblical principles I have held all these years, after all I have never being money conscious in my life and so far I have always given God the Glory for all He has blessed me with but , I guess in life there are times you feel that maybe you should try your hand on certain things, test the waters so to speak but , as soon as they don't Work out you cut your losses and go on with life.

So Another lesson has been learnt today for I doubt I would be taking that road again so am ok. For if ever I have trusted that there is any help in the World My God has shown me that He is my only hope and that I should go back to His Master plan for my life so am grateful that I Have my God and His Grace is sufficient for me and all those who trust in Him.

I Pray that God helps all who lost their investments in the latest carefully, masterminded and arcane so called Economic Crisis and let us remember that the only place to keep in investing on is the Kingdom of God don't be deceived the World cannot give you anything in return rather they will take yours and add to theirs . . . whoever and wherever they are.

Let us avoid enslavement to the World & Corporate greed that has ravaged the entire World whereby you work so hard and still lose it to the same corrupt World banking and government system.

God knows. . . that knowing what I know now, this story may have been different . . .

just as it would be from now onwards by Gods Grace.

Seven Things About Me Tag

I’ve recently been tagged by Lori laws at: PERSEVERE, The rules are that when you are tagged you have to share 7 things about yourself.

I cannot count how many times I have been tagged but have not responded because I have not been led to do so by the Holy Spirit, but today the Holy Spirit gave me the go ahead so I will use this opportunity to answer all the tags from my great friends like Anna, Adullamite, Valerie lynn and others whom I have forgotten to name here today, so here it goes . . .

These are short but will go along way to tell you who I am and what am like incase you were wondering my friend . . . .The 7 things that I would like to share are:

1) Created fearfully and wonderfully by God Almighty . . . I love my Savior Jesus Christ, I listen to the Holy spirit all the time for direction. I live for God and am His and His alone, I call my God "Daddy" for He is my DADDY. . . Thank You Jesus!!! I believe only God knows His true servants and those that Love Him and keep His commandments.

2) Am the First Child of my Parents, My Name is IJ or Hanna am 5 ft 7in short, brown eyes , light skinned, brown hair, married to a very nice and caring man named "Lucky" who I know God gave to me to wipe away my tears and to believe that not all men are not like my father, also I hold B.s.c Degree in Business Administration from Lagos State University (LASU)

3) Am a Nigerian Woman from the eastern part of the Country, born in the Niger Delta region (famous for it's restiveness . . . the Oil Curse) I have lived in Delta State, Rivers State: Port Harcourt, Enugu State , Anambra State, Imo and Abia States) By the Leading of the Holy Spirit I now Reside in Lagos State the former capital of Nigerian (Naija)

4) Have traveled through my Country but not much to the Northern part (Hausa Land) but been through the Eastern, Western and most part of the southern parts of Nigeria , Outside of Nigeria have been to the following Countries Benin Republic, Cotonou Ethiopia and India, as you can see I don't like traveling much , but do hope, God willing someday I may be able to travel the World if necessary

5) Never taken a vacation in my life never went on "honey moon" too I look at those things as waste of time In My Humble opinion ,I have always believed you can vacation while working or doing something important with your life, not lazing around somewhere boring the daylights out of myself and those around me. So I prefer to work and relax a little wherever I am , so no special time to take a break . . . funny but that's just my way of thinking. Not addicted to anything , don't indulge my self on anything whatsoever. . .

6) Am content with all that the Lord has showered me with, I love content people and loathe greed/selfishness , I love humility, I love my own space, don't meddle on other peoples lives ,don't enjoy talking about myself . I used to be over protective of my family (Siblings) most times making me the enemy for not wanting them to experiment with stuff and do whatever it is they want to do, so yeah, am very unpopular in that area in my family, but God has given me wisdom to go about it nowadays. I let everybody be and ,react when am led by the Spirit of God. also I Find it difficult sleeping at night you could say I suffer from acute insomnia while my husband is the complete opposite you could characterize him as a hypersomniac which is quite urggh so frustrating watching him sleep easily while I Pray for sleep to come at night.

7) I love listening to Music a lot I grew up in a family where my parents always played music so it became part of me, I also I love Mystery Movies, crime and history Channels , I watch a lot of the following Mary Higgins Clark movies and thrillers of any kind, also investigative dramas like Perry mason, Diagnosis Murder, Matlock, Agatha Christies Poirot, Miss Marple, Jake and the fat Man, Father Dowling Mysteries ,Barnaby Jones, Get smart, I also enjoy good comedy shows too like the three Stooges, Charlie Chaplin, Maude , ,golden Girls etc am a big conspiracy person so I watch a lot of these things for one, I do not like to call them conspiracies especially when they appear truthful to me especially when there is physical evidence that confirms what's in the Scriptures

"Most Peculiar"

Now therefore, if you will obey My voice in truth and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own peculiar possession and treasure from among and above all peoples; for the earth is Mine. {Exodus 19:5 AMP}

By definition, according to [Merriam-Webster’s Online Dictionary], peculiar means: (1) characteristic of only one person, group, or thing: distinctive (2) different from the usual or normal, a: special, particular b: odd, curious c: eccentric, queer.

Personally, I would add different to the list. In fact, strange or weird makes even more sense to me. For this is what I feel like when I try to explain the kind of relationship that I have had with our Heavenly Father since He became real to me in 1993, and from the reactions that I have received, I do not believe that many would disagree with the assertion that I truly am most peculiar in a very strange and weird kind of way (at best).

I don’t understand why. For it is not like I am the only one whom He has been talking to on a regular basis. Granted, I know that He has been talking to me a little more than most because of what He wants to accomplish in and through me, but He certainly has not been as silent as what most have been led to believe.

Proof of this can be heard everywhere. For such things as, “The thought just came to me,” “A little birdy told me,” ”Something just told me,” and even, “The answer my friend, is blowin’ in the wind,” are common expressions.

Other things, such as, “I had a feeling about that,” “My gut just told me,” “I had a dream about that last night,” along with seeing things that are not really there and feelings of déjà vu, all stand as irrefutable evidence of the fact that something is going on. So, why is it so hard for us to want to believe that it may be our Heavenly Father seeking to directly communicate with us in one way or another?

This is not what we have been taught—is it? For on one side of the Christian community, the general consensus of opinion is that He only speaks to a select few—mostly members of the clergy. On the other side, it is ferverently believed (for the most part) that He only speaks through His Holy Bible now.

Alas, is it not no wonder that atheism is making such a strong showing in families that have been traditionally Christian for generations? For how is it possible to truly have a very close and personal relationship with a church hierarchy or a book?

No, this is not to say that the time has come for abandonment of all traditions. MAY IT NEVER BE!!! For our Heavenly Father established His church in the name of His only begotten Son to serve as a safe haven for all in need, which includes all of us—regardless of our circumstances, and He gave us His Holy Scriptures to serve as written confirmation of what He Himself wants to personally reveal to each individual.

Nonetheless, without a very close and personal relationship with Him, churches are little more than social clubs at best, and mob meeting halls at worst, and His Holy Scriptures are nothing more than words on a page of an ancient book. By the way, is there not something in your gut telling you that this is indeed true right now?

Simply put, it is impossible to truly have a very close and personal relationship with our Heavenly Father without hearing His voice. For without that, all anyone can have is faith in their own understanding.

Even though there is nothing more important than our Spiritual welfare, there is another advantage to wanting to truly hear our Heavenly Father’s voice. For He is interested in every aspect of our daily lives while we are still a part of this world.

No, this is not to say that all who want to truly hear His voice will be told how to be healthy, wealthy and wise. For in my own case, my life has been a disaster, but this has to do with what He wants to accomplish in and through me. Be assured that it may be different for you, and it will be for most, which is still not to say that everything will be wonderful. That is, at least not in regards to the here and now.

Speaking of the here and now, we will be electing a new president of the United States of America in less than two weeks, and our Heavenly Father has been telling me that whoever wins will not be nearly as good as their supporters hope, nor as bad as their opponents fear. Not much of a ringing endorsement, I know, but what can we expect after we have been insisting upon doing things our own way for so long?

Eritrean Officials Imprison 20 Members Of Underground Church

WASHINGTON, DC ANS - The Washington-DC based human rights group, International Christian Concern (ICC) says that it has learned that Eritrean officials imprisoned about 20 Christians belonging to the underground Faith Missions Church on Sunday, October 12, 2008, in Deki-Zeru, a town 30km away from Asmara, the capital.

“The Christians were holding a Sunday morning worship service when Eritrean security forces raided the church,” said an ICC spokesperson. “The Christians, including some elderly, are still in prison.

“This is not the first time that the Eritrean officials arrested members of the Faith Mission Church. On eve of Christmas in 2007, Eritrean security forces arrested 35 members of the Church in the port city of Massawa. All the 35 Christians were later released on February 16, 2008.”

Persecution a “Way of Life” in India

Every day, Gospel for Asia missionaries and Bible college students make a calculated choice to serve Jesus, knowing that they could be beaten or even face martyrdom for their Christian faith.

Raju in Uttar Pradesh is one of them. So are Vikram in Delhi and several Bible college students in Maharashtra.

Anti-Christian extremists do not like the fact that Raju’s church in Uttar Pradesh has grown to more than 150 believers. And two weeks ago, they found a way to let him know it.

Around 7 p.m., returning home from visiting new believers, Raju was attacked from behind by an extremist mob of 10 people piled on three motorbikes. The radicals pushed him down and kicked him repeatedly in the face.

Raju’s own motorbike fell on him, fracturing his hand. He was also left with injuries on his face from the kicks. He was unconscious for about five hours and unable to speak for a while after being admitted to a hospital. He was released several days later and is doing much better, but doctors have advised him to rest for a few more days because of internal injuries.

Christian Beheaded for Converting from Islam

Compass Direct News reports that followers of the religion of peace beheaded a Somali aid worker last month because he converted from Islam to Christianity.

NAIROBI, Kenya – Among at least 24 aid workers killed in Somalia this year was one who was beheaded last month specifically for converting from Islam to Christianity, among other charges, according to an eyewitness.

Muslim extremists from the al Shabab group fighting the transitional government on Sept. 23 sliced the head off of Mansuur Mohammed, 25, a World Food Program WFP worker, before horrified onlookers of Manyafulka village, 10 kilometers six miles from Baidoa.

The militants had intercepted Mohammed and a WFP driver, who managed to escape, earlier in the morning. Sources close to Mohammed’s family said he converted from Islam to Christianity in 2005.

GodTube-Banned Pastor Tackles the "Anything But God" Church

An Emmy award-winning pastor who was banned from GodTube has released a book about his “absurd religion,” challenging today’s Christian and Evangelical leaders and churches with the question “Is religion to blame for the current American crisis?”
Though the idea behind My Absurd Religion may itself be absurd, as author Steve Gray himself admits, the Kansas City pastor says his goal is to help people get away from the clutter and get down to where they can really encounter God.
“Writing this book might be the most absurd idea I’ve ever had,” says Gray, who pastors World Revival Church of Kansas City. “I mean, who takes a swing or a punch at their own religion?”
But Gray says he wanted to give readers something more than just a book that “patted us on the back and said ‘Keep going. We’re doing great.’”
People, he says, have to have something more to sustain them and to bring them life.
What people need is to encounter God, Gray insists, an encounter that many churchgoers are not able to experience in most traditional churches and even newer, seeker-friendly churches, which he claims are “trying anything to get people interested.”
“People are going to church and not actually encountering God,” Gray said in an appearance on the Christian Broadcasting Network’s 700 Club. “They’re encountering inspiration, they’re encountering good friends, they’re encountering groups and supports groups but not encountering God.”
Once people encounter God, “gimmicks” and “tricks” are not needed to keep them in church, he added.
In fact, people have grown tired of them, Grey said.
According to The Barna Group, there was around a 90 percent increase in the number of unchurched Americans in the last decade. In 1991 there were 39 million unchurched Americans compared with 75 million found in 2004.
A more recent study released earlier this year further found that tens of millions of people are experiencing and expressing their faith in God independent of any connection to a conventional church.
In his appearance on the 700 Club, Gray claimed that the decline in church attendance reveals the need for churches that are God-centered rather than people-centered.
When the church is one “God would attend, that makes it God-centered,” he explained.
“Instead of making it seeker-sensitive – is this too long, too short, too loud, too much – you get that away. We recreate as best we can the atmosphere of Heaven, biblically speaking. And I’m finding God will attend that, and He comes down,” Gray continued.
With this in mind, the Kansas City pastor says it’s time to step out of “absurd religion” that is “faithless, powerless, pointless.”
“We cannot keep going on with powerless religion,” he says, noting that many people today are weak in prayer, weak in their commitment, and weak in walking with Jesus.
“We need to empower the people and get the blessings of God back down on this country again.”
Aside from his book, Gray has also been addressing the issues of his “absurd religion” through The Steve & Kathy Show, a Christian comedy TV show featuring skits that are often critical of megachurches and the emergent church movement.
One skit, titled “Seeker-Sensitive Mega Church Guy,” which spoofs the megachurch phenomenon in America, has attracted over 49,000 viewers on YouTube as well as a recently-won Emmy award.
Another, titled ''Cheech & Chong at the drive thru,'' has garnered over 95,000 hits over the course of 7 months.
Not all, however, approve of Gray's skits. GodTube.com, the highly popular Christian alternative to YouTube.com, banned Gray over the skit titled “Sexy God,” which spoofs popular pastor and Sex God author Rob Bell. Other critics, meanwhile, question whether Gray's methods are much different from those employed by the ones he criticizes.
“Not for the religiously inclined, these spoofs help the American public see through the gimmicks of religion and consider a better way to do church,” the promoters of The Steve & Kathy Show explain in a press release.
Most importantly, however, Gray’s show and new book aim to address the need for people to “connect to the life of God.”
“Everybody deserves to experience the presence of God,” he says.

'Jesus was not God' book written by Catholic Priest being sold in churches

Jesus Christ was not God, and Mary was not a virgin, according to a controversial new book written by an Australian Catholic priest.
In the booklet, ‘God is Big. Real Big’, which has gone on sale for $20 in several churches, Bathurst priest Peter Dresser argues Jesus could not have been God.

“This whole matter regarding Jesus being God ... not only does violence to my own intelligence, but must be a sticking point,” he says.
“For millions of people trying to make some kind of sense of the Christian religion ... No human being can ever be God, and Jesus was a human being. It is as simple as that.”
Father Dresser claims Joseph was Jesus’s father, Mary was not a virgin – and actually had six children – and that the story of the resurrection should not be taken literally.

The booklet has angered conservative Catholics, such as Sydney priest Anthony Robbie.
“What a breathtaking know-all, to claim he knows the mind of Christ contrary to scripture and tradition. His words rob Christianity entirely of its meaning and purpose,” Father Robbie told News Ltd.

I wonder how he passed through a seminary and became an ordained Priest even though am not a Catholic neither am I a fan of their doctrines but I know they teach about the "Holy Trinity"!!!

LONDON, Oct. 21 — British atheists announced Tuesday a high-profile advertising campaign to put posters on London buses that say: “There is probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.”

By Tuesday night, as many as 3,400 donors had given about $80,000 on a Web site set up to take contributions to fund the ads. The money arrived along with messages that ranged from witty to nasty, summed up by one from a donor who gave 25 pounds ($42): “Hoorah for the non-believers!”

“We wanted it to be a positive message,” said Hanne Stinson, chief executive of the British Humanist Association, which plans to advertise on buses starting in January. “It’s about telling people that it’s okay if you don’t believe in God. If it raises a smile, too, good.”

While the vast majority of Britons identify themselves as Christians, only a small percentage attend services regularly. Atheism is far more popular, and socially and politically accepted, in Britain than in the United States.

Many people who do not believe in God call themselves humanists or secularists. The British Parliament has an active and growing group of legislators who describe themselves as humanists.

One of the world’s most outspoken and provocative advocates of atheism, Oxford University Prof. Richard Dawkins, best-selling author of “The God Delusion,” is a member of the humanist association and pledged to personally match donations up to 5,500 pounds (about $9,300), Stinson said.

“This campaign to put alternative slogans on London buses will make people think — and thinking is anathema to religion,” Dawkins is quoted as saying on the Web site.

The Church of England issued a statement Tuesday defending the humanists’ right to express their views but disagreeing with their message. “Christian belief is not about worrying or not enjoying life,” it said. “Quite the opposite: our faith liberates us to put this life into a proper perspective. Seven in ten people in this country describe themselves as Christian and know the joy that faith can bring.”

The atheist posters are the idea of the British Humanist Association (BHA) and have been supported by prominent atheist Professor Richard Dawkins.

The BHA planned only to raise £5,500, which was to be matched by Professor Dawkins, but it has now raised more than ?36,000 of its own accord.
It aims to have two sets of 30 buses carrying the signs for four weeks.

However the Methodist Church said it thanked Professor Dawkins for encouraging a “continued interest in God”.

Spirituality and discipleship officer Rev Jenny Ellis said: “This campaign will be a good thing if it gets people to engage with the deepest questions of life.”

Catholic vs. Jewish Debate

About a century or so ago, the Pope decided that all the Jews had to leave Rome. Naturally there was a big uproar from the Jewish community. So the Pope offered a deal. He would have a religious debate with a member of the Jewish community. If the Jews won, the Jews could stay. If the Pope won, the Jews would leave.

The Jews realised that they had no choice. They looked around for a champion who could defend their faith, but no one wanted to volunteer. It was too risky. So they finally picked an old man named Moishe who spent his life sweeping up after people to represent them. Being old and poor, he had less reputation to lose, so he agreed. He asked only for one addition to the debate. Not being used to saying very much as he cleaned up around the settlement, he asked that neither side be allowed to talk. The Pope agreed.

The day of the great debate came. Moishe and the Pope sat opposite each other for a full minute before the Pope raised his hand and showed three fingers.

Moishe glared back at him and raised one finger.

The Pope waved his fingers in a circle around his head.

Moishe pointed to the ground where he sat.

The Pope pulled out a wafer and a glass of wine.

Moishe shrugged and produced an apple.

The Pope stood up and said, "I give up. This man is too good. The Jews can stay".

An hour later, the cardinals were all around the Pope asking him what happened. The Pope said: "First I held up three fingers to represent the Trinity. He responded by holding up one finger to remind me that there was still one God common to both our religions. Then I waved my finger around me to show him that God was all around us. He responded by pointing to the ground, showing that God was also right here with us. I produced the wine and the wafer to show that God absolves us from our sins. He pulled out an apple to remind me of the original sin. He had an answer for everything. What could I do?"

At that moment, the Jewish community were crowded around Moishe, amazed that this old, almost feeble-minded man had done what all their scholars had insisted was impossible!

"What happened?" they asked.

"Well," said Moishe, "First he said to me that the Jews had three days to get out of here. I told him that not one of us was leaving. Then he told me that this whole city would be cleared of Jews. I let him know that we were staying right here."

"And then what happened?" asked a woman.

"I don't know," said Moishe. "He took out his lunch and I took out mine."

A W TOZER - The Cure for a Fretful Spirit

THE HOLY SPIRIT IN PSALM 37 admonishes us to beware of irritation in our religious lives:

"Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity."

The word "fret" comes to us from the Anglo-Saxon and carries with it such a variety of meanings as bring a rather pained smile to our faces. Notice how they expose us and locate us behind our disguises. The primary meaning of the word is to eat, and from there it has been extended with rare honesty to cover most of the manifestations of an irritable disposition. "To eat away; to gnaw; to chafe; to gall; to vex; to worry; to agitate; to wear away"; so says Webster, and all who have felt the exhausting, corrosive effects of fretfulness know how accurately the description fits the facts. (I so know the feeling)

Now, the grace of God in the human heart works to calm the agitation that normally accompanies life in such a world as ours. The Holy Spirit acts as a lubricant to reduce the friction to a minimum and to stop the fretting and chafing in their grosser phases. But for most of us the problem is not as simple as that.

Fretfulness may be trimmed down to the ground and its roots remain alive deep within the soul, there growing and extending themselves all unsuspected, sending up their old poisonous shoots under other names and other appearances.

It was not to the unregenerate that the words "Fret not" were spoken, but to God-fearing persons capable of understanding spiritual things. We Christians need to watch and pray lest we fall into this temptation and spoil our Christian testimony by an irritable spirit under the stress and strain of life.

It requires great care and a true knowledge of ourselves to distinguish a spiritual burden from religious irritation. We cannot close our minds to everything that is happening around us. We dare not rest at ease in Zion when the church is so desperately in need of spiritually sensitive men and women who can see her faults and try to call her back to the path of righteousness. The prophets and apostles of Bible times carried in their hearts such crushing burdens for God's wayward people that they could say, "Tears have been my meat day and night," and "Oh that my head were waters, and mine eyes a fountain. of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain daughter of my people!" These men were heavy with a true burden. What they felt was not vexation but acute concern for the honor of God and the souls of men.

By nature some persons fret easily. They have difficulty separating their personal antipathies from the burden of the Spirit. When they are grieved they can hardly say whether it is a pure and charitable thing or merely irritation set up by other Christians having opinions different from their own.

Of one thing we may be sure, we can never escape the external stimuli that cause vexation. The world is full of them and though we were to retreat to a cave and live the remainder of our days alone we still could not lose them. The rough floor of our cave would chafe us, the weather would irritate us and the very silence would cause us to fret.

Deliverance from a fretting spirit may be by blood and fire, by humility, self-abnegation and a patient carrying of the cross. There will always be "evildoers" and "workers of iniquity," and for the most part they will appear to succeed while the forces of righteousness will seem to fail. The wicked will always have the money and the talent and the publicity and the numbers, while the righteous will be few and poor and unknown. The prayerless Christian will surely misread the signs and fret against the circumstances. That is what the Spirit warns us against.

Let us look out calmly upon the world; or better yet, let us look down upon it from above where Christ is seated and we are seated in Him. Though the wicked spread himself like "a green bay tree" it is only for a moment. Soon he passes away and is not. "But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble." This knowledge should cure the fretting spirit.

Oh yeah I have seen pastors twist and turn the Word of God to suit their hearts agenda often times, even my father does that too, whenever he wants to do something terrible he looks for a passage in the Bible and twists it to his favor . . . but that is another topic for another day . . . Hopefully not!

The Problem arises when you say stuff you are supposed to say in the bedroom outside of the bedroom.

All those special words you can't say no more because you are saved, say them in your bedroom

The bedroom becomes the balance to your salvation

To many "Church Folk" In Church!?

But my Bible reads like this . . . and am taking it from two versions for when I want to read I love to juxtapose the various versions to see if they all have same meaning and most times I see some disparities in translations so I guess the pastor just took one version for the purpose of this message even at that he is not right in what he is saying.

Heb 13:4Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.KJV

Heb 13:4Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.NIV

What part of this verse did the pastor not understand? I believe every true Christian understands the message in that verse, hence no need for my lecture on that subject . . .

Firstly, I would like to ask the pastor and other men/women of God were busy soaking up all this stuff , clapping, cheering him on to continue in that erroneous message, Apart from the obvious.Absurdities that he was busy saying that even a little baby will laugh at such claims. . . I would so like to know which Bible they read and also how on Earth did arrive at that conclusion that the "bedroom balances your Salvation".

Secondly, is the bedroom not part of world we live in? so how do you set your bedroom apart and "defile it" are you saying that there are places where by we can neglect Gods law and places where we cant?

Thirdly, I think, I know and I believe that that whole message was "Mr flesh" Talking and not the Holy Spirit in any way . . . for "the Scripture cannot be broken" if the bedroom is the balance to my salvation what about "Holiness within and without"

Why are Churches dwelling more on the subject of sex instead of Salvation and the Love of God? painfully or funny enough they are not even succeeding with the message since it not based on the Holy Spirit because I could see he was having a hard time getting his message through.

I also wonder If such messages worked in Church how come the incidence of divorce is still very high possibly higher than the olden days to borrow a line from a Nigerian Poet he would refer to the good old days as the days "when Earths Head Stood on it's neck and hand sprouted but five fingers " I would say where the pure unadulterated gospel is preached and lives would be saved in Christ.. Things have gotten so out of control especially in the Church we claim to know more of God but yet so far from Him,

Colossians 3:5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.^[b] 7You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. NIV

While I do agree with Pastor Weeks that God does understand what goes on inside of us that is not to say that we should continue in sin that grace may abound, pastor! we are not to glorify the flesh. Am pretty sure that before he went to the Altar to Preach this message he didn't study his Bible to make notes and I also wonder the type of Christians that would jump at such a message and believe he is speaking the mind of God to them thank God "I don't have the patience to listen to such messages in Church once a pastor veers off the message of Christ I switch off and leave"

According to the Word of God

It is very simple to be saved and takes only a minute to explain. Please let me show you how to go to Heaven from the Bible, God's Word...

Man is a sinner.

Isaiah 53:6, "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all."

John 3:3, "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Romans 3:10, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."

Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

There is a price on our sin―eternal death in Hell.

Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 5:12, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

Galatians 3:26, "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."

HERE IS HOW YOU CALL UPON THE LORD

Do you admit that you are a GUILTY sinner under the condemnation of God's LAW, deserving of Hellfire?

Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God (God in the flesh) who died upon the cross, sacrificing His precious blood to pay for your sins?

All you need to do to be saved is to BELIEVE upon the Lord Jesus Christ.

Perhaps you'd feel comfortable praying a sinner's prayer as did the publican in Luke 18:13... "And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner."

Dear Jesus,
I admit that I am a sinner, deserving of Hell. Please forgive me of my sins and take me to Heaven when I die. I now believe upon You alone, apart from all works and religion, as my personal Savior. Thank you. Amen.

Just as you were born physically to your parents, you were born spiritually into the Family of God when you believed on Jesus! (John 3:3). Please understand that we are not saved because we pray a prayer; but because we believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ. It is certainly appropriate to ask the Lord in prayer to forgive and save us; but it is our faith which prompted us to pray the prayer. You could just as easily believe in your heart upon the Lord to be saved, and not pray at all. Salvation is of the heart, as we read in Romans 10:10, "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness..."

You do NOT have to be baptized or doing anything to go to Heaven other than trust upon the Lord as your Savior. Romans 4:5 proclaims... "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." The only sin which can prevent a person from being saved is UNBELIEF. Thus, unbelief is the only sin which a person needs to repent of to be saved. What a wonderful Savior!

Indian Christians Suffering!!!

Gospel for Asia missionary Vinay Ganpati is still facing threats months after an anti-Christian mob attacked his church in Tamil Nadu, India. The attack happened after a local woman, believed to be a goddess, blamed two deaths on the Christian community.

After the attack on the church building and congregation, one of the anti-Christians died in an accident. This caused people to further blame the Christians, and there were threats of more violence.

On September 26, a group approached Pastor Vinay and told him to vacate the church and stop all activities by October 10. Vinay tried his best to reason with the group, explaining the land was lawfully owned by the church and that he couldn’t leave so suddenly.

“The extremists were not ready to listen to him and again warned him to vacate by the deadline or face dire consequences,” GFA’s correspondent wrote. “Vinay seems very worried.”

Vinay and his leaders plan to file a complaint with the police station in an effort to protect their land. This is not their first choice, as it could further hinder relationships with the people of the village.

Vinay earnestly requests prayer that God would remove fear from the Christians’ hearts and make them strong to face these trials. Pray that the Lord will bring a peaceful solution, and that those opposing the Gospel will realize God’s love for them.

A SHORT STORY

A missionary on furlough told this true story while visiting his home church in Michigan... "While serving at a small field hospital in Africa, every two weeks I traveled by bicycle through the jungle to a nearby city for
supplies. This was a journey of two days and required camping overnight at the halfway point. On one of these journeys, I arrived in the city where I planned to collect money from a bank, purchase medicine and supplies, and then begin my two-day journey back to the field hospital. Upon arrival in the city, I observed two men fighting, one of whom had been seriously injured. I treated him for his injuries and at the same time talked to him about the Lord Jesus Christ. I then traveled two days, camping overnight, and arrived home without incident. Two weeks later I repeated my journey. Upon arriving in the city, I was approached by the young man I had treated. He told me that he had known that I carried money and medicines. He said, "Some friends and I followed you into the jungle, knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs. But just as we were about to move into your camp, we saw that you were surrounded by 26 armed guards.'" At this I laughed and said that I was certainly all alone out in that jungle campsite. The young man pressed the point, however, and said, 'No sir, I was not the only person to see the guards. My five friends also saw them, and we all counted them." It was because of those guards that we were afraid and left you alone. At this point in the sermon, one of the men in the congregation jumped to his feet and interrupted the missionary and asked if he could tell him the exact day this happened. The missionary told the congregation the date, and the man who interrupted told him this story:
"On the night of your incident in Africa, it was morning here and I was preparing to go play golf. I was about to putt when I felt the urge to pray for you. In fact, the urging of the Lord was so strong, I called men in this church to meet with me here in the sanctuary to pray for you. Would all of those men who met with me on that day stand up?" The men who had met together to pray that day stood up. The missionary wasn't concerned with who they were, he was too busy counting how many men he saw. There were 26."

Murder, Rape and Arson Continue in India

The unprecedented wave of anti-Christian attacks that began a month ago continued in the past week with more incidents of murder, rape and arson, mostly in the eastern state of Orissa and southern state of Karnataka. Two Christians were also found murdered in the northern state of Uttarakhand.
“The atmosphere in the Kandhamal district of Orissa is still volatile,” an attorney visiting Kandhamal with a team to provide legal aid to victims told Compass. “Yesterday afternoon, we were going to the Raikia area, but as we were about to reach there, we were informed that a mob had attacked a police station and the police had to open fire. We had to flee Kandhamal right away.”
According to The Indian Express, around 2,000 people, including women, surrounded the Raikia police station yesterday to demand the release of two fellow villagers from Masakadia village who had been arrested on charges of arson and rioting.

I haven't been doing much blogging lately or even visiting my fave blogs because am a bit stressed at the moment and am also trying not to sit for long due to pain I have on my pelvic bone but the Lord is Strengthening me in Jesus Mighty Name Amen.

I thought all that was going on in most Churches was the lukewarm messages coming out out of the pulpit. I didn't know that right there in the Church, "Sex" is now the major subject instead of the message of salvation and repentance from sin.

As if people don't get enough of that from the media , they still have get that inside the Church too!? Jesus am scared !!!

Little wonder I found this pictures of some Church adverts (flyers) on the Web today . . .

This is just so B A D!!! call me old fashioned I don't think these types of messages should be what we hear from the Altar . . .

Televangelist Juanita Bynum’s ex-husband seeks new wife on Web

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) — The ex-husband of national televangelist Juanita Bynum, who divorced after a parking lot fight between the two landed him in jail, plans to take his search for a new wife to the Internet with videos featuring dating tips and what he’s looking for in a mate.

Thomas W. Weeks III, a minister who runs an Atlanta-area church and is known to his followers as Bishop Weeks, said the 10-episode series will be available starting Tuesday on his Web site.

Excerpts available Friday included Weeks, 41, discussing with aides what he should look for in his third wife.

The group concludes the woman should be at least 25 years old but “with special exemptions for 21 and up if they are classy,” Weeks said. She also must want to have children with him.

“This woman has to be very discerning, and very intimate, and very social and very sensual,” Weeks says, laughing. “And on the ministry side she has to be very diverse. She can’t be ugly.”

Bynum, 49, filed for divorce after the couple had an August, 2007, fight in an Atlanta hotel parking lot that landed Weeks in jail on charges that he pushed, choked and beat Bynum.

He pleaded guilty to assaulting her, is serving three years’ probation and has completed court ordered community service and anger management counseling.

Bynum’s Waycross compound, where she runs her international ministry, was recently facing foreclosure and a delinquent tax sale at the same time, according to Ware County Tax Commissioner Steve Barnard.

The tax sale was advertised in a Ware County newspaper for a week. Then, the Evangelical Christian Credit Union, the property’s finance company, stepped forward to absorb the bill.
