REAPING WHAT YOU SOW

I gave this title after reading this story because it's funny how we in life want to be treated better than we treat others, want more attention than we can give to others, want people to run after us as if we are God's blessings to mankind whereas we are just mere mortals who can't see beyond or noses... lets face it we will all reap what we sow someday, whether it be good or bad, like the popular proverb in my country says... only the bad person or a person with the guilty conscience will not say "AMEN" when this prayer is said... "may it be unto us as we have done to others". In other words, what the proverb means, is that we are aware of our treatment of others whether they be our friends or family even acquaintances... funny enough they too are aware of the treatment we give to them and will oblige someday wether in a good way or in a not so good way.

Like the lesson in this story teaches ...

"A son and his father were walking on the mountains.
Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
He receives the answer: "Who are you?"
And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you!"
Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
He receives the answer: "Coward!"
He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."
Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"
The voice answers: "You are a champion!"
The boy is surprised, but does not understand.
Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.
It gives you back everything you say or do.
Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.
If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.
This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;
Life will give you back everything you have given to it."

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU that's not to say that we are not good in certain ways but let's try our best in making our relationships work and make a difference in our world.

God bless you

  1. We should give without expectations...but the problem is, we feel unappreciated as humans when we don't get back the gifts in return. We have to go beyond the call of that thought process and think in a whole new way... Then, we'll have less disappointments.

    Beautifully written!

" just like you stated we really have to get beyond ourselves to really love one another and avoid being offended by our fellow human beings. believe me only the Holy Spirit can make you know how to process these feelings on has in life.
THANK GOD FOR THE HOLY GHOST!!!

    Cheers my dear

  3. That's the thing----"our flesh" goes against our spiritual nature----the Holy Ghost. This is why we're all sinners. Through Christ, we're saved, but the process of letting go...and letting God take control of your body is a very HUGE thing for people. We're all control freaks---even those who won't admit to it. We want to hold on to our problems, but we say, "Here Jesus, take away my problems!" But we don't let go of it. He tries to take it, but we hold on -- thinking we can do a better job at it than He can. Interesting, isn't it?

I'm trying SO hard to let go and let God take over. I try - and then realize I did it "my way".

The carnal and Spirit conflict one another. I wonder why it's so hard. Hmm. ?

  5. What a wonderful analogy of exactly the way life is...all too often we or better yet I will say "I" forget the results of life are due to the way I choose or do not choose to see them...as well as my response or reaction to them.
"life IS what you make it"

  6. THis reminds me of the prayer of St. Francis. "Let us ask to consoled rather than be consoled"
    So true.
    Blessings to you today,
